So I went in for my ultrasound today, after a few days of significantly decreasing symptoms and just a general feeling that something was wrong, and depressed mood for about the past 10 days. Low hcg and progesterone as well, doc did a blood test Monday when I insisted that something was not right. FOund out that the baby stopped growing at 8 weeks, 5 days....6 days after seeing a strong heartbeat. I even called my doctor a few days after the heartbeat to tell him something was wrong, but he told me to wait and see. I guess I am one of those who just "know" even if its a missed micarriage. NO cramping, bleeding or any other overt sign of loss.

My D&C is scheduled for Friday afternoon.

On a really good note though...now that I've had 3 recent miscarriages in a row (5 losses total, but the other two were 5 years and 15 years ago) there shoudl be no issues with insurance when they do the testing. We're planning on doing the thrombophilia panel in 2 weeks, and they're also testing the fetus for chromosomal issues as well. So I feel really good about getting some answers.

The first thing DH said was "we'll try again" and even checked with the doctor when it would be safe for another pregnancy. That felt good to me, since I've had my occasional doubts if this is what he wants.


But I'm back. We'll start trying again as soon as we can...and I'm looking forward to that!

I also knew something was wrong with this last pregnancy and even told the DR at my check up that I needed an ultrasound because I think the baby is gone... I was right

Very similar story to mine. Saw the heartbeat , nice and strong, then started spotting the next day. Really weird. Sorry you're going through this again, but glad you have a silver lining.

I am sorry for you loss. I hate to see anyone come back to here because of a loss. I just had my third loss last month. We are just waiting to see if the insurance company will say ok with all the blood test. I hope you can fine out some answers. Good luck on Friday.

Thank you everyone for your support! After the did the ultrasound, and we absorbed what had just occured...my first thoughts were "I need to tell my sister" and "I need to tell the ladies on TTCAL that I'm back". So glad that we have each other to lean on in both the good times and the not-so-good times.
