go grocery shopping? I told my dh that I saw a man grocery shopping yesterday . . . not pushing the cart for his wife, not filling the cart with frozen foods, not buying from a list . . . but actually buying healthy foods and shopping with his daughter (probably). He just shrugged and said he was probably divorced. I started thinking and I don't know any men who grocery shop . . . does your dh? Mine only goes if I give him a list; he's horrible at it! I'm so jealous of the wife of the man I saw yesterday, if she exists!

My DH would/does go if I need him to, but isn't good at getting the right stuff I grew up with my stepfather doing all the weekly grocery shopping. He would keep track of what we needed, check the ads, clip coupons, make the list, and shop each week. And stick to a budget. I think my mom just hated doing it.

My sons all grew up grocery shopping with me and they are really good at it. Now that they drive, I send my husband or the boys out with a list and they also can do full shopping. Their future wives are going to thank me!

DH has done the grocery shopping once and that was because I was really sick. I do not know any men that do the grocery shopping.

DH can do it but he hates doing it and I honestly don't mind. He helps me carry in the groceries when I get home and he helps put it away

That's fantastic!! Those will definitely be some lucky women!
My BF is actually really good at grocery shopping. He's the first man I've been with who is good at it. The first time I went with him, I was surprised and very impressed! He sticks to a list and for the most part buys healthy meal options. I have a little bit of training to do on him to make sure he starts buying real butter instead of margarine and either organic milk or at least the milk from the dairy that doesn't use hormones...but for the most part, he's good! My ex-husband would basically get beer and tv dinners.

Dh does the majority of the grocery shopping! He's self employed, so his daytime schedule is a little more flexible.
He usually makes the list according to the sales in the flyer and adds whatever staples we need, then asks me if there's anything else we need.
I do hate shopping with him though...he's not a browser. He'll go with just what's on the list, get it, and leave. I like to go up and down the aisles, you never know what you might see!

Mine will on his own when things run low but he doesn't think about the overall needs like I do. Just a few things and he KNOWS we are running low on. I usually follow up with a bigger list a few days later .

My husband and son usually go together to the grocery store. I sometimes go with them. I should start going more though because that's what really makes me want to cook.

My hubby HATES grocery shopping. I used to force him to go with me so I could show him how to buy cheap, efficient, and by a strict list. No matter how many times I have showed him, he just grabs the 1st thing he sees and does not compare prices.
Plus I do all the cooking anyway, so he wouldn't really know what to buy. So he is not allowed to shop, and believe me, he is not complaining.

I am officially jealous of all the ladies that have husbands that go shopping for them! You should count yourself lucky! I'm teaching my boys to cook for now, grocery shopping will come later. I'm hoping that by the time they are teens they can each have a day of the week where they cook dinner!
