So my sister just called me and informed me that my father is back in the hospital back home in Louisiana. He just got out of the hospital earlier in the week from his open heart surgery.

Anyway, now his kidneys are failing. Of all things when I thought everything was looking up for us. I really do not understand what is going on with my father. First his liver, then his heart, and now his kidneys. How can one bad liver cause all of this?

They are going to keep in him for a while and try to get rid of the fluid building up inside him. I really cannot lose my father right now. I am too young to be without him. I cannot take another loss. I need him here.

I am so sorry to hear about your father. I was hoping after the open heart surgery he would be better. The extra build up of fluid could get a result from the open heart surgery and from the heart not working that good before the surgery. My mom had fluid build up bad couple of times from her heart not working that good. I hope they can get the fluid off and he can go home. If you need anyone to talk to you can pm me. I know how hard it is when you are young and you have a parant that is so sick.

I'm so sorry things are getting more complicated for your father! I hope they can get the fluid out & he can go on with his healing. I also hope that he is able to get that liver transplant asap! You definitely don't deserve to be going through all of this. You are way too young and so is he. You and your family are in my thoughts and prayers.

Thanks ladies. I was feeling really down yesterday and I try my hardest not to let things get to me. They usually do though. At least lately.

He was doing so good after his surgery too, so everyone was surprised, even his doctor. Any prayers would be wonderful.

I am so sorry he is back in the hospital. I understand how your feeling, my dad had a complete colostomy in Feb. due to colon cancer and he had several complications and was in and out of the hospital. But, on the upside side he is home now and just the reversal done and is recovering well. I hope your dad also comes home soon and recovers. ((HUGS)) and T&P's.

Lindsey, I have been in your shoes. I understand and the possible loss of your father alone is very terrifying, not to mention the pregnancy loss.

I did lose my dad. I was only 30 when I did and even that is way too young. He suffered with his own depression and I miss his support right now. Not to mention that he has never been able to physically hold any of his grandchildren.

I'm here if you need to talk. You can PM me.

Lindsey -
I am so sorry honey. As you know, I lost Martha a month ago and I pray that you don't lose your daddy. That he has the strength to fight this and go on to spend many more years with you. (((Hugs)))

Another update....

He was rushed into emergency surgery. His blood pressure was extremely low because he had fluid build up around his heart. They pumped out 400cc of fluid from around his heart. He did ok and felt better coming out of surgery. I guess it was a complication from his previous surgery. He also has 15lbs of fluid built up around his tissues. So he has to be on a medication to help him pass it. He'll be in the hospital all weekend.

I'm not doing too good today. Thank you for your support and just listening ladies. It helps.
