Thank you Missy for updating everyone on me. Love you Missy.

As Missy told everyone I am home. I got home this morning from the hospital. The surgery went well. I did have some small complications but everything went ok. The surgeon said he was very happy that we took the gallbladder out when we did. He was able to remove the gallbladder laparoscopy which I am happy about. The surgeon thought he was going to have to open me up to get the gallbladder out because there was tissue attached to it, it was really swollen and full of sludge. He was afaird the sludge was going to come out but it didn't. He did have to make one of the incisions longer then he usually does. Besides being in pain I am doing ok. I have been sleeping a lot since I got home. As everyone knows you don't get much sleep in the hospital. I can't drive for 7 days and the doctor wants me off work for 3 weeks to 4 weeks. I really can't take that much time off work. I was going to try to go back to work on Monday but have changed my mind since I'm not supposed to drive for 7 days. I have to drive an hour to work so I am going to take off until the middle of next week at least. I hope to be able to catch up with everyone while I am off. Thank you everyone for the well wishes and thoughts.

So glad your home and all went well Stacey. I know how it is to need to get back to work so quickly, but really, you need to take it easy right now and listen to the doc's! These surgeries may have come a long way with how invasive they are, but they are still considered a huge deal!! You had a part removed from your body, trust me when I say this, your body will notice...lol.

Get some rest and enjoy your quiet time on the computer!

I'm glad you are home and doing well. I agree with the others. Definitely don't try to overdo it. Take care of yourself & give yourself time to heal. Let your DH spoil you!

Get well soon. I understand how you feel about not taking all the time off the doctor specified....I am guilty of it myself. My advice...don't push yourself. Take the time you need to recover or else you will end up off longer than you expect.

Glad everything went well!!! Take care.

I am glad you are home and doing well. I also agree not to over do it, my dad recently had surgery and tried to do things too fast and ended up back in the hospital. Take care and let DH spoil you.

Thank you ladies. Dh is doing a good job spoiling me. He wont let me get up to do anything. I just talked to work and I am off all next week. I plan on spedning time with you ladies on here. The only bad part is Dh's mom is coming home tomorrow for the weekend. I am so scared that after we bring her home that she wont go back to the home.

Stacey, I'm so glad that you're home. I hope you can take as much time as possible off from work to recover, and that MIL is happy to leave at the end of her visit.

Thank you Missy. Dh just left to go pick up his mom. He keeps saying he is taking her back at 5 tomorrow. I keep telling myself I can do it, I can make it through the day and tomorrow. One thing is I don't feel good and I plan on being upstairs in my bed most of the day.

I hope your recovery is quick. When I had my gallbladder out, I remember it taking quite awhile before I could even stand upright without pain, it was a much harder recovery than I had expected.
Try to enjoy your time off, relax, feel better soon!

Stacey I'm glad the surgery went so well. You're going to feel a MILLION times better now!!!! Please keep us posted sweetie and it's good that you did decide to take the time off, you need to rest up for your body to recouperate.

I had to have that done as well and it's painful afterwards, like you I pushed myself and went back to work right away... but we couldn't afford me to miss work
