I think I found a reason that I have had my losses. Not a medical reason but spiritual one. I had someone email me today and send me a link to a website
Home - Now I Lay Me Down To Sleep
It's basically photographers all over the world that do non-profit work for parents who know they are going to lose their little one or ones that are stillborn and such. They list your name and phone number on the website as well as give it to local hospitals in your area and then call you to take those precious photos for memories for the parents/family.
I feel like this is my calling. I just applied and hopefully within 6-10 weeks I will hear back to see if I'm accepted. Please cross your fingers for me ladies. This is something I feel strongly for.

At first I didn't think I could, but thinking about it... I wish that I could have photos of my son. I wish I would have gotten to see him. Knowing I'm giving someone else what I would have wanted would be such an amazing gift.

That is great Katie! I remember when I was at the hospital that they asked if I wanted to have a person from Now I lay me down to sleep photography but I chose not to then. Next time if it would happen I will go with that option.

That's wonderful Katie! I follow them on facebook...When I had Ella we were going to have someone come, but because of the time she could make it, I declined...I wish I hadn't...I think it's a great charity.

That sounds like an amazing opportunity for you!! Good luck! I hope you get it!!
My DH thinks it's crazy. If it ever happened to us, I'd get pictures done for sure. I know we'd want them. My dh would come around. I think it's a beautiful gift to give someone beautiful pictures of their angel. What I wouldn't give to have seen our Angel.

Thank you! I know some people aren't comfortable with it, but I know that I would put pictures of my angels all around my house.

Wow, Katie, this looks amazing. You really would be perfect for this kind of work. I hate that any of us have to go through something as heart wrenching as losing a baby, but I love that we can choose to take the experience and make something good come of it. I hope this works out for you!

A friend of mine recently had a baby with an abornormality. (Can't remember the name, but it starts with an A.) She had a photographer like this there, and she took the most beautiful pictures. The baby only lived for 5 hours, so really, all she has are those pictures. My friend said the bext thing she ever did was hire that photographer. (Well, not hire exactly. It was not for profit.)
If you can do it, good luck! It must be a VERY stressful and emotional job.

I think you would do a wonderful job doing this Katie. With my third loss I have been doing a lot of thinking and I think we are ment to go through things for a reason. We may not know the reason and we may never know the reason. I think with you going through all of your losses Katie you would be able to offer the family surport while you are taking the pictures.

I think this is a really, really great thing. What a special way to share your talent. I also think that it would be really hard to do, to not break down about it. But I also know that if I a person was helping me keep the memory of my child alive, I wouldn't hold it against them one bit if they did break down. This is a gift that they will cherish for their entire life and if it were me, I would be eternally grateful.

Katie you are such a kind and gentle soul, and I think this would be a perfect fit for you. NILMDTS is an incredible charity, and they would be lucky to have someone like you shooting for them. I've got all my crossables crossed for you. I think if you were able to do this you would find some peace knowing that your losses brought you in touch with other angel families that you could help with your amazing talent.

You will totally be accepted. You have awesome photo skillz!
You are a better person than me. I could not do it - I would break down too much in front of the family. You rock Katie.
