I love to cook! It is my passion, so Friday I made cinnamon peanut butter cookies, country fried steak, homemade milk gravy, and mashed potatoes.

Then yesterday our Saturn's radio blew out, and literally blew up! t started smoking and scared the bejesus out of me! Thank God my husband knows how to work on cars and what was wrong with it. The previous owner had installed it wrong and the amp inside it went whacky. So $114 from savings later, 2 hours out in 90 degree 90% humidity weather, and a few trips to the auto part store, the new stereo was in. I also made a trip to Krogers. They had ribeyes on sale for $4.99 a lb! I got 3 big ones for $11!

So that brings me to today, lol. The kids woke me up surprised at what the "Easter bunny" brought them. They also went outside to find those darn confetti eggs. I still have a piece of shell in my fingertip. Then I showered and started cooking! The ribeyes I had marinating all night, I also baked potatoes and sweet potatoes, made homemade dinner rolls from scratch, baked garlic asparagus, and cupcakes.

I have ate like cr*p today. Too much candy and food! I need to start my diet again. *sigh*

Really haven't been doing that much but recoverying from the surgery. Dh was going to take Friday off in case I needed anything. He ended up getting called in for a break down at one of the plants. As much as I wanted to spend time with him he couldn't pass up the money. Saturday he picked up his mom around noon and then went out to work on some of the fences with a buddy of his since it wasn't raining. I didn't do much on Saturday except trying to avoid his mom. My mil was on her best behavior which you could see was so fake. Everytime I got up while Dh was in the house she always asked me if I needed anything or if I needed any help. If he wasn't in the house she wouldn't say a word to me. Not even an hour after she got here she started messing with her medications the home sent with her. Sunday we had our Easter dinner at noon so Dh could take his mom to his sisters house for Easter dinner. Sunday was also our 1st anniversary. We made ham and I made a green bean side dish that I made up that turned out ok. After we dropped off my mil at his sisters house we spent the rest of our anniversay cuddling on the couch watching movies. We took the top teir of our wedding cake out and ate some of it. I am surprise the cake tasted pretty good. Sorry this is long. I am happy to say my mil is back in the home.

I do the same thing just about every weekend, so I won't bother typing it again.

We had a great Easter weekend! On Saturday we went to see DH's grandparents and the rest of his dad's family for lunch. My kids are the only little ones so it was all about them hunting for eggs and being spoiled by so much attention. Then that afternoon DS had a birthday party, after which I rushed home to get dinner ready. Then Sunday we got up, checked out the baskets the bunny left, hunted for eggs, went to church, stopped by the store for flowers, went to DH's parents for luch, played baseball, then came home and spent the afternoon getting ready for Easter dinner. My family came over around 5 and we had t-bones, twice baked potatoes, grilled corn on the cob and homemade yeast rolls. Then there was blackberry cobbler with ice cream for dessert, along with brown sugar frosted cupcakes. It was all so yummy and I ate way too much.

And today I am super tired and am getting ready to go take my nap!
