I have been taking OPK the past three days and they have gotten darker. This leads me to believe that I have not Oed. I want to go ahead and start trying again now so that I have one last shot before having to go on Clomid. Here are my questions:

1. What are the risks of TTC before my next cycle when I just had a loss a little over 2 weeks ago? (It was a chemical pregnancy and my HCG never got above 250)

2. Does the OPK getting darker mean that I will O? I know sometimes you may bot O until your next cycle.

Here are my tests

With HCG that low, I dont think its bad to try this month...my HCG was over 50,000, and my OB said that I could try this cycle, but recommended that I give myself a break and try next cycle instead...

that being said, the OPK doesnt quite look positive yet, but it definitely looks like its getting there...btw, I hate Answer, cause they dry looking positive often when they arent (and they are expensive...baby hopes are the absolute best ones IMO:

Ovulation Tests - Reliable, Low Cost w/ Free Shipping | BabyHopes

I always get a perfect positive with their brand...even though the ending was horrible, with this pregnancy, I was able to only have sex one time in a two week period (it was Kaiden's birthday and we had people here), no temping, and before I Oed this time, I hadnt even gotent a post-partum period since having Kaiden (12 months!), and I knew to the day the age of the baby because of my OPK - my OB was very impressed

Oh yes. I know it's not positive yet. I am just excited to see that it is getting there.

I have used Answers since TTC DD. I agree that they are not the best, but they are easy to get where I live and they are pretty cheap for 20 of them. I orders some First Response ones off ebay for cheap today.

I just wanted to add that the line getting darker does not mean that you will O for sure. Mine have done that and then lightened back up without ever giving me a true positive. It does look like you are gearing up to O, but sometimes our bodies stall out before we get there. But best wishes for a nice dark line sometime soon!

Please do not use First response or Answer brand OPK's... I always got false positives and false negatives on them.

If you need a good cheap brand easy to buy on the internet use the wondfo brand off of amazon. Amazon.com: Wondfo 25 Ovulation (LH) Test Strips, 25-Count: Health & Personal Care

It looks like you could be gearing up to O. I would start testing at least twice a day. Once in the afternoon and once at night. Don't use your FMU. (I know total opposite of HPT's). Good Luck!!

Thanks guys, but I think I will stick to my brand. I agree that they are not the best, but have used them for a year and a half and I know how they work with my body.

I am going to try the first response next cycle, but for now, these are fine. I like them because I can buy them locally cheap.

Hopefully you won't even need them next cycle! Good luck!! And I agree with the others, there should be no reason why you can't try this cycle.

There's no reason why you can't try this cycle. Make sure you have taken a hpt to confirm that it's negative so that you aren't guessing if you get a positive hpt next month. We tried the first cycle after my first miscarriage, but I didn't get pregnant that cycle (I did O, though, based on opks and temping). After my second miscarriage, we weren't trying, but I did end up getting pregnant that first month. Since I wasn't tracking my cycle then, I had no idea how far along I was and had to go by u/s dating. So far, so good with the pregnancy. I hope you get another (sticky) bfp soon!

1. I was 9 weeks along and my OB said no reason to wait your body will not get pregnant unless its ready. My body must not be ready because i am 15dpo and praying A/F will show so I can move on.

2.NO a positive OPK or lines getting darker does not mean you did or will O. I would suggest if you do not get pregnant this cycle to temp along with the OPKs next cycle. I assume since you are getting clomid you had problems with O in the past?

I say go for it and good luck!
