April 1st would have been time for my annual appointment, and I plan to make one if AF doesn't show. I guess some docs do them every two years, and some do them every three, but my grandma got ovarian cancer and my insurance covers them every year, so I'd rather be safe.
ANYWAY... What are some things I should ask to be checked for as far as fertility goes? If AF comes, this will make 5 months of timed BDing with no results, and it took us a year total to conceive Drew, although 2-3 cycles of that was preventing and 2-3 were NTNP.
Someone said there's something ____urea? Toxourea? Plasmourea? Something? Endo, PCOS... Do I need to tell the doc in advance? Am I going to need to request ultrasound? Can you do an HSG with an OB or is that only through an RE?
Thanks for your suggestions!

Jan. 2009: Came off years of BCP and started TTC
March 2010: BFP -- finally!
Oct. 22, 2010: Drew is born, but has to stay in the NICU because of cord complications resulting in oxygen deprivation and brain problems =(
Oct. 27, 2010: I held him in my arms while Daddy, Grandma, Great-Uncle and I sang him to sleep =( Hardest thing I've ever done...
June 14, 2011: Drew's baby brother or sister waved hi to us with a BFP!
June 25, 2011: Natural miscarriage... Can we please catch a break here?
Nov. 2011: 100mg Clomid followed by 2mg Estrogen, Ovidrel trigger, and 200mg progesterone suppositories 2x/day 14 days. BFN.
Dec. 2011: 2nd medicated cycle. BFN.
Jan. 2012: Took a month off to breathe...
Feb. 2012: Same regimen of Clomid and other meds, add IUI. 2 eggs and 8.5 million swimmers. BFN.
March 2012: 75 IU Follistim CD 3-11, follie scan CD 8 showed 6 follies likely to mature. Triggered, IUI on CD 14, 4 million swimmers. BFN.
April 2012: 75 IU Follistim CD 3-10. Scan showed 2 mature follies, 2 almost certain to mature, and two not likely but possible. (All 6 evenly and perfectly spaced out between the left and the right.) Triggered, IUI CD 13 with 5 million swimmers. BFN.
May 2012: 75 IU Follistim starting CD 3. Waiting to O. Timed intercourse. Likely 5 follies to mature.

Ureaplasma (I've had it before). You can ask them to swab for this when they do your pap test. I'm not sure if it's something they always check for or not but my doctor does. My OB did my HSG and my Lap. That is something you can discuss with them at your appointment. Every doctor is different as to what they like to test for. They can test your progesterone levels at 7dpo to make sure they are where they should be to support a pregnancy. They also might prescribe something like Clomid or Femara to help you have a stronger O. Hope I gave you some helpful info and if you have any questions please feel free to ask.

I would ask for HSG, progesterone at 7DPO, and sperm analysis...
reasons...
1. do the tubes have a problem (another nice thing is that an HSG is rumored to clear them out a bit also)
2. Do you ovulate high quality eggs - your progesterone would tell the story...
3. Is there any problem with the sperm...
PS-My OB was able to approve these three things BEFORE we went to an RE when we were TTC Kaiden...

Yes, we had to go to an REs office to actually DO the sperm analysis, but it was "ordered" by my OB, and she got the results...she wouldnt prescribe me Clomid until she was sure that those three things checked out (for me, my progesterone was low, but tubes were clear and SA was fine)...if they dont check those its a waste of crazy hormones!

My hubby had his urologist do his SA. They can check for any male problems also while there.

Why don't you also ask them to do the blood clotting panel on you just to be safe? That way you are even more prepared when you do get your bfp
