I have to start suppositories tonight any advice? I have to take it twice a day. There are no instructions so I am clueless.
Things to do not to do?

I only do my suppositories once a day. I do them *RIGHT* before I go to bed (side effects can be crappy). My doctor told me to make sure I use the bathroom right before I do the suppository, then insert it, and then to lay down for an hour if possible. I use a panty liner too because they can cause a yellowish/whitish discharge (doctor said it's from the capsule). Ummm trying to think of everything but if you have questions feel free to ask

How far do you put them in?
I am worried about the laying down thing, I can do it at night but in the morning I dont think Madison will let me lay for an hour but I will try.
What about sex?

She told me to insert them as far as I could (I have super short fingers)
As far as the morning thing (I know this would suck) but maybe you could set your alarm for an hour early and then insert it and go back to sleep.
Sex... DH and I would do it about 2 hours before I would insert it. I wouldn't have sex at least for the hour afterwards. I wouldn't want to make it come out before it dissolves.

I am the kind of person that when I am awake I am awake. plus with not having to go to work I can wake up anytime from 5am -9am depending on with DD gets up. At least the night time one should be a good one and the morning I will try to get her settled with breakfest and then insert it and try to lay on the couch for an hour.
UGH 2 hours before..lol I will get no sleep. I will at least just never have sex after its put in. I can probably turn the TV on and wait about an hour after to insert. Im going to just try to avoid it as much as DH lets me get away with..lol
Thanks for helping me they just hand you the package and say make sure to keep in the fridge and that was it.
The shots tonight were a whole other story..lol But it is do able. My friends did it for me tonight to show me how.

Good luck with everything! I'm wondering if maybe an Instead Cup would be helpful. You could put the suppository in the cup and insert that or insert the suppository and then the cup. I would imagine it should hold everything in place in case you need to get up and move around without worrying.

I only had to do them at night too. The refrigerated ones suck because as soon as your fingers warm them they start to melt and get slippery. An hour is probably best to lay down but it would probably be completely melted within about 20 minutes. So, I wouldn't stress if you can't lay down for a whole hour in the morning. Just don't do any jumping jacks. LOL I second using a pantyliner cause you well get some discharge from them. Good luck!

Ok I am probably just over thinking it like I do everything..lol
I just counted and there is only 15 days worth for $40.00 YIKES
Plus the 30 days of shots were another $40.00 (but originally only 12 were covered and it would have been $600.00 so I got lucky).
Good thing the progestrone is only for a couple weeks. The nurse said they will probably take me off it when we get a hear beat? should I push to stay on it until 10-12 weeks?

Well the nurses never tell me the right answers so I will wait and see what my DR says. I think I should at least be on it until 10 weeks when the placenta takes over the function of progest.
Another question for you... does it give you the runs??? lol I am so scared to leave to go do my blood work. OR when you are preggers does Metformin effect you harder?
I am so scared im going to poo myself.

The progesterone actually did give them to me but it only lasted a few days and then I'm assuming my body adjusted.

I did them twice a day. I would do them at bedtime and then wake up about 30 minutes early and put one in before I got up.
I would put it in as far as I could then also kick it a little sideways, that way if I sneezed or anything else that may cause a contraction type motion it wouldn't come out. Also wear pads or liners, just to save your sheets!
Oh and I was paying $60 for a 15 day supply!

Oh wow guess my $37.00 for 15 day is not that bad then.
I am so happy my shots were covered because the full price is $975.00. I was orignally told they only would cover 12 a month so when I picked them up I asked the pharmacy about how you can get pre approval for 30 days supply and she said well there is 30 in here for $40.00 so it must be covered. She said to call a couple days prior to my refill next month to make sure it really is covered though.
Now I need to find out how you are supposed to dispose the shots.

Why can't you take the progesterone pills? Those are covered by insurance and there is no messy hassle or having to time things perfect.
I take 200mg 2x a day, and they worked great for me.
