Last week my hcg was down to 7. I started Af the day before yesterday. I am on cd3 today. I had my hcg drawn yesterday to make sure it was going down. The nurse just called and it only went down to 4. I thought the hcg had to be lower then that for af to show? Is it normal for af to show before your hcg goes down to 0? With a hcg 4 would that explain why I didn't O before Af showed her ugly head? I think this is the slowest my hcg has went down.
On the good news side. I went to the hospital yesterday to get all of the blood work the doctor ordered for recurrent miscarries. They took 20 tubes of blood from me yesterday. Now we are just waiting for the resutls. My ob's nurse said it could take 7 to 14 days to get all the results back. Dh is going to try to get his blood work done today or tomorrow depending on what time he can get off work.

Anything under 5 sends a message to your body, your not pregnant......hense why your AF started. Most women are usually a 1 or 2 never been pregnant to begin with. Sounds like your body is getting back into the swing of things. I never o'd right after a later loss like yours either for the first 1 or 2 months after m/c. With chemicals I did, but not when there was a baby.
Glad all your blood was taken and answers are right around the corner. Praying for lots of easy fix's for you.

DITTO Katie & Lori. Anything under 5 is negative. I think you can have a little HCG in your system at times and not be pregnant.

Thank you. Dh and I are NTNP this month. Although I am still using my opk's this month. I want to know if I still going to O around the same time since my body put my cycles around the beginning of the month again.

I actually had regular periods while waiting for my beta to get below 5....that took 17 weeks. MY levels were still over 700 when I had the first period.

Sometimes our bodies jump right back to normal and we ovulate on time and others it can be messed up for a month or several. It's hard to tell how your body will react so I'm glad your going to use the OPK's

You don't need a negative HCG to ovulate, so you can ovulate while your hcg is elevated. And after that ovulation, if you don't get pregnant you'll have AF. HCG doesn't stop you from ovulation.. when you're pregnant or have already ovulated it's the elevated progesterone that will suppress another ovulation.
Hope that helps
