Hi everyone. I'm Shasta, 26 (27 in June, EEEK!) DH is Jesse, 25. I've had 2 losses, one was almost 5.5 years ago (was in the September 06 DDC). With that loss, I found out at my 9 week ultrasound that the baby never developed past a fetal pole. I had a D&C that Thursday. 5 years later I got married and Jesse and I started trying to conceive in October. It took us 3 months and in January I found out I was pregnant about a week after he was deployed to Afghanistan (September 11 DDC). My first ultrasound found the baby, with a heartbeat of 101 bpm measuring 5w6d. We were pretty excited and hoping that this would be it. In March at 10w4d I started bleeding heavily. I went to the hospital where it was confirmed that I was miscarrying (closed uterus, u/s showed no baby in the sac...and sac only measured 7w1d). I miscarried naturally which was probably the worst pain I've ever been in. I think I need to avoid conceiving in December/January....LOL.

I'm still technically WTTC, but Jesse is coming home soon so I'm going to start prepping myself. I'll temp daily, take my prenatals, stock up on Pre-Seed, stock up on my fertility monitor sticks, stock up on IC's, etc.

I know, I wrote a book almost. LOL. I'm really excited to get to know you ladies!

I remember your siggie from somewhere... Have you posted here before? Or in cloth diapering? Or any other boards other than the two DDCs you mentioned?

Hi! I'm taking the leap over to this board too. I'll be 40 in June! That's hard to swallow. I too need to avoid conceiving in January, as my 2 losses have been from January conceptions. My two live births have both been conceived in July, but I'm hoping we can bump it up a few months this time around.
Best wishes to you.
