Last Tuesday I was 9w1d, but baby was only 6w3d with no heartbeat. I was given Cytotec and passed a bunch of clotsTuesday night. I'm still bleeding some (like AF bleeding) and having AF-like cramps, which my doctor says is normal. She said that I could have bleeding for 1-1.5 weeks.

I'm still very heartbroken over this loss, however, I really want to start TTC again. I'm anxious to have a healthy baby. Has anyone else been through this? When did your doctor tell you it was ok to start TTC again?

It took us 9 months to get pg with this first baby. I'm 30 years old and the clock is ticking!! We finally got pg with 100mg Clomid, Ovidrel, IUI, Prometrium. It was also the first cycle that my hypothyroidism was under control (88mcg Synthroid). I'm terrified that it is going to take a long time to get pg again

Has anyone had HCG levels anywhere close to mine - 34,000? If so, how long did it take for them to get back to zero? How long did it take for AF to come after they were back down to zero?

i had something similar...missed miscarriage at 9 weeks (mine was measuring 9 weeks), and given cytotec...I bled for almost 3 weeks...it stinks...

My OB said that she would like us to wait out this cycle, and then we can try again next cycle...my main concern is how long this cycle is...my HCG was pretty high, but its almost gone at 3.5 weeks out from the miscarriage, hopefully if yours is lower, then it will be gone sooner...

the waiting just sucks...

fromustobaby - I'm so sorry to her about your loss What was your HCG level? Mine was 34,000 last Tuesday (the day that I was given Cytotec. I'm also going to be going in weekly for HCG draws so I'll know when they go back to zero. I'm hoping that it doesn't take very long.

Your OB said that you can start TTC again once you have your first period?

I'm so sorry for your loss. I used Cytotec in February 2010 and it took about 3-4 weeks to get my HCG back to zero. I got pregnant again in April 2010 and had my DD in January 2011. We had been trying for two years before my loss. I hope that you will be pregnant again soon with a super sticky bean.

Your story sounds very similar to mine. I had a m/c about 2 weeks ago, it was missed. I was at 9 1/2 weeks but the baby only measured 6 1/2 weeks. I ended up passing it on my own about a week after. It's very heartbreaking, it took us 14 months to conceive this baby so I can definately relate to you. My hcg dropped from over 4000 to 529 in 3 days so I am hoping it keeps going down fast. My midwife told me that there really isn't any definate reason you should wait to ttc again. I am planning on just going for it as soon as I ovulate, which is hopefully soon. I keep hearing that you are more fertile after m/c so I want to take advantage of that! Good luck whatever you decide, i really hope you get your healthy sticky bean soon.

They really only want you to wait for dating concerns. They really cannot go by your LMP. I have always heard it is up to the individual on when they are ready (both mentally and physically). That is, unless there is a medical reason to wait.

I will say one thing though, your HCG is really high, so it may take a little while for it to drop to normal. Still, I am sorry for your loss.

my doc told me we didn't have to wait, but i think each person needs to make that decision for themselves. I hope you don't have to wait long for the bleeding to stop. With all of my MC's i basically bled one day for each week i was pregnant. Keep us posted on your progress. I'm so sorry you have to deal with this.

Thanks everyone for your posts. I am sorry for your losses.

Today is the 6th day since I had the Cytotec and passed everything. I'm still bleeding, about as much as a normal period - a medium amount.

Has anyone had HCG levels anywhere close to mine - 34,000? If so, how long did it take for them to get back to zero? How long did it take for AF to come after they were back down to zero?

I am very sorry for your loss. Super big massive hugs to you. As far as TTC again I agree with the other ladies.

Everyone's bodies are different. Sometimes your numbers can drop quickly and something they drop really slow. So it's really hard to say. I hope your numbers drop quickly.
