How was everyone's weekend? What did you do? Any pictures to share?





I was the maid of honor in my best friends wedding this weekend and I am SOOOO glad that is over. It wasn't very planned out and there was many things that went wrong but they are married that's all that matters. Today DH and I have just been having a lazy day.

We took a road trip to Louisiana to see the family and attend my brother's college graduation. We got on the road at 5:45 am and my body felt it by the end of the day (we had to be there before 9am). Those 3 hours sitting still at his graduation nearly killed me. We had a good gumbo supper and I stopped at a local market to pick up tons of good cajun meats and boudin to bring back home with me. Yum!!

Today we hung 2 light fixtures--one in the dining room and the other over the kitchen sink. We rehung a mirror, I hung tons more pictures, reorganized furniture, cleaned, and did tons of laundry. Then I had to run over to my sister's house to watch my poor little niece who has been really sick. Her sister had her big dance recital tonight. I ended up rocking her in her rocker for almost 2 hours straight. Poor little thing.

Now, I am EXHAUSTED. Plus I feel like I am getting sick. Lovely. Lol.

today was blueberry picking (5 pounds of them - oh yea) and swimming...

I LOVE the weekends!

Saturday morning I worked on some more of my crafts trying to get them done. I am going to open up a store on Etsy to try to sell some of my crafts.

Saturday afternoon Dh and I worked around the house. We still can't get our garden or field corn planted. It wont stop raining long enough for everything to dry up.

Sunday I got the news that my grandmother passed away early in the morning. She was 93 years old. I fine peace knowing she was ready to go. She wanted to be with my mom.

Lindsey, I know how it is to make a long drive. I did that on Thursday to see my grandmother. She lived 4 hours away from me.

My weekend was uneventful, as usual. DH and I went looking at furniture for the living room. Not buying- just looking- which is fun because then you don't have to worry about the price! Yesterday was rainy so we sat on the couch and had a movie marathon after church. Lazy but fun.
