My RE appointment was great and came with a welcome and pleasant surprise. I got a BFP at her office yesterday, my period was due yesterday morning but never came. She immediately prescribed 200mg of progesterone suppositories and ordered blood hCG. My hCG came back later yesterday at 92 and wants to check it again tomorrow. I took the progesterone last night and woke up this morning to some brown spotting. Does progesterone, esp the suppositories make you spot?

I do not know as I have not taken these before. But from others posting information similar to this it could be that the suppositories irritate the cervix and create the the brown spotting. I hope this helps. And a Congratulations on your BFP is order.

Congrats! I have seen a few other ladies have the same reaction to the suppositories.

Congrats on the positive As far as the progesterone suppositories yes they can cause spotting. They can irritate your cervix. Keeping everything crossed for you.

I was just on it and told it can cause brown spotting.
I did have a lot of brown and pink spotting..... how ever my spotting was not from the progestrone I ended up with an ectopic... but I was told not to worry its normal before we found out about the ectopic.
