Happy Birthday from Geoffrey the Giraffe

Ughhh.. There was a post recently about signing up for updates when pregnant and getting them after a miscarriage. Well...2 days before Kaiya died (the day before her dreaded last nap....) I was at Babies R Us/Toys R Us super center store with her. The registry chick was oohing and ahhhing over Kaiya and signed her up for the Birthday Club. I thought it sounded so cute, a card and phone call from Geoffrey the Giraffe each year. UGH..... Fast forward to today...the first email reminder that her birthday is coming and to make her a wishlist...and a note from Geoffrey that he'll be calling a special someone to wish her happy birthday soon.

p.s. I am pretty sure those smiley's are exactly what I look like when I cry, but my face is red, not yellow. haha

I remember signing her up and tried to call the store to cancel it a while back, but was on hold for a really long time so I just hung up. Then I forgot about it for a while. I "unsubscribed" to the email, but not sure if that will stop the birthday card and call from Geoffrey or not.

Oh well....the lovely things people like us deal with.
