I am going to a sunset symphony on the river tomorrow night. We are taking a picnic but not sure if I am going to make anything other than sandwiches or not yet.

Let's see...

Today we went swimming at our community pool. It was the grand opening in our neighborhood and there was a BBQ. Then we went and got snow cones. Man I am addicted to those. Then we went to a few yard sales. Then we went out to eat at a Mexican restaurant here (not that good). Then we went to HEB and got charcol and stuff to grill on Monday. My brother gave me some deer sasuage last trip home to Lousiana, and I bought some andouille sausage. Yum!

Tomorrow we have a BBQ to attend and my sister wants me to go shopping with her. I picked up some premade Margarita mix for the party (for them, I do not drink), and I am making my special homemade avocado green salsa for the BBQ. I learned the recipe while in Mexico.

Then on Monday, we are grilling up some yummy deer sausage, hamburgers, and andouille sausage. Then it is a family day with maybe a trip to the park and some board games together.

My weekend plans changed drastically Friday. We didn't have a lot planned to start with, but my desire to do anything was completely zapped when I found out that a dear friend and colleague of 10 years was arrested at school on Thursday and charged with unimaginable crimes against children that had attended our school. (If you're friends with me on FB please don't mention this there. We're under an administrative gag order, and I have a lot of work friends on there). I am in a complete fog and can barely function. I don't know what to think, feel, do, say. It's just horrible. DH works all weekend, but he's been trying to get me out of the house when he gets home, because I'm a mess.

I made a Very Berry Cheesecake from my Wildtree samples. It's RICH. Whew. I need to make some glaze to go with it or I won't be able to eat it. But, I made it for no one in particular. Just cause I wanted to. LOL. Then tonight I'm going to go eat with my dad.
