Long story short- My husband was just diagnosed with an autoimmune disorder of the liver and started corticosteroids which I am learning can cause significant challenges in the sperm department. We managed to get one well timed BD in before he started feeling really ill and before we got the diagnosis and started treatment. So, while it would be challenging to be pregnant while dealing with this new disease, I would love to be pregnant. If this isn't our month then DH will likely be on these meds for at least 2-3 years and then there is still a risk for relapse. So... after the fact, I am learning that this cycle is sort of like a last ditch effort. I have faith that God will give me what I need. But, I would appreciate prayers for my husbands health and for having our possible last chance baby.

We'll know more about the extent of his disease after his liver biopsy next week.

Lots of prayers for a full recovery. ((hugs)) On a TTC note: have you thought about getting a few sperm samples from him and freezing them? This way if you decide to have a child at least the option for IUI with his sperm will be there for you?

I have but to be honest, I haven't had the heart to even tell DH that his meds will likely make it next to impossible for us to conceive. He is already feeling really down and I don't want to add to his depression. Plus, for religious reasons, ART is sort of not an option. But, even if it is, I am not sure I want to think that far down the road yet.
