Have you ever been to a Renaissance Faire? I am thinking it would be a lot of fun but have never been. Tell me about it!

I've never been to one either but I know they have really neat ones around Gettysburg different times. DH always wants to go but we drove past the one day and it was so many people we didn't end up going.

Oooooohhhh... One in Houston?!? I will defo be going to that!
I used to go when I was in the Girl Scouts YEARS ago. All I remember was awesome outfits and turkey legs. I think the turkey legs are what make it worth while. That was the only reason I would go to car races with my husband--to get the turkey legs.

I have heard LOTS about them, as my manager who used to work for me was all in to them!! I found him to be a really weird person (great mngr though) and since he loved them so much, I never wanted to go......lol. Their all excited to take their daughter this year for the first time and get her all dressed up with those weird costumes.........I dont think its for me, lol

Yes, the one close to Houston!
I do resin incense demonstrations and sell incense and trinkets from around the world. I'm working on a new steampunk costume for this year!
Last year I met a bagpipe player...his legs were so worth the kilt!
My dad took this picture while we were out visiting...I'm eating chocolate covered cheesecake on a stick...

The Texas Ren Fest is so much fun!!! I miss going. Our art class would go every year when I was in high school.
I loooooove their pretzels and cheese...omg! and the turkey legs...oh boy. haha!
I love the fact their ren fest is during october/november too which makes it a lot more enjoyable. It's so hot in Texas and so that is the perfect time to have it IMO.
BTW Mom 2 Avery....my friends mom works out there too..I think her daughter may as well. Their last name is Bullock...don't know if you might know them. I THINK they may do face painting but not 100% sure.

Any man in a kilt is sexy to me! That's why I am obsessed with Scotland! I even had to vacation there a few times. The Scottish burr gets me too.

I had a customer last year that was browsing while her hubby was in the background talking on his cellphone. I noticed he had the Scottish accent and asked how long he had practiced because he was good...she laughed and told me he was born there!

I've never been to one, but every year when the commercials start for the PA Ren Faire it always makes me want to try it... and then I never do. I really should, because I hear it's a blast. Missy, one of the mommies in DD's playroom goes to the PA Ren Faire every year multiple times, and she says it's AWESOME! They do the outfits, and even dress their twin daughters up for it. She loves it!
