I LOVE the beach and ocean. I love, love, love, love, love, love, love it!!!

Living near Philly we only go once a year like when we go to Savannah. Next month I am going to Florida to spend a few days with my girls down there. I miss them and it will be awesome to be at the beach every day again!

We delayed moving for 1 more year but next year we will be living in either Savannah or Florida and be near the beaches again. Can't wait!!

I love the beach and the ocean too but I won't swim in it because I'm scared of sharks...plus around here, the water is too cold. I don't go very often but when I do, I just love lounging in the sun & listening to the waves.

I LOVE the ocean. I was raised on the gulf as a child and I loved being on my Pap Paw's shrimping boat. Being around the water just feels natural to me. Here is a secret, I tried to join the Navy years ago but it did not pan out. I just love being on a boat and on the water sooooooo much.

Whenever we can. Galveston is the closest thing here, but it is not the prettiest beach. In fact, we are so close to the muddy Mississippi that I had never really seen clear water in person. One day I hope to though.

Being raised in the swamps, we NEVER get in the water. You get in once, and you have the squirts. Also, there are nutria rats, water moccasins, and gators where I am from. So needless to say, I am terrified of the ocean water. I don’t want anything to touch me. Although I will say I LOVE to swim (in a pool). Lol.

How often do you go? hardly ever now that I live in Pa. When I lived in Florida I lived right by the beach and went almost everyday

What's your favorite thing to do there? fishing, swimming and laying on the beach.

Swamp people?? Yeah it is in certain parts. I was raised literally on the gulf. I even went shrimping with my Pap Paw all the time. I LOVED it!! My husband makes fun of me calling me Bubba Gump. Lol.

Also, I have some really, how do I say it..... really backwoods Cajun extended family?? Lol. My great grandmother was full blooded French Cajun. She did not speak a lick of English. Also, she had 14 children, my grandfather being the youngest. He passed in Feb. There was a lot of Cajun on my Maw Maw's side too. I could tell yall some stories that would have you laughing your butt off. Think the movie Water Boy.

Sorry for high jacking the thread. Go on ladies.

How often do you go? We go a few times a year. I wish it was more. The only good thing about living in NJ is going down the shore. My dream is to one day move to Ocean City.

What's your favorite thing to do there? I'm not a huge fan of swimming in the ocean, because I need to be able to see what my feet are touching. (When we went to Punta Cana for our honeymoon I was like a fish in the ocean, because I could see the bottom.) I love to get my feet wet close to the shoreline, walking down the beach by the water, and laying on a beach chair soaking in the warmth from the sun and listening to the waves crash. OMG I LOVE it!!!
