I have VERY regular cycles. Both on the pill and off the pill they are usually regular. When on the pill my cycles are always 28 days on the dot, just as they should be. Off the pill they range just a little from 29-32 days, with 30 days as the average. I've never had one longer than 32. This is my first cycle off the pill since having Kaiya last June. AF should have been here any time between Tues and today, today being cycle day 32. I felt like she was here for sure on Wed, but nothing, just some brown spotting on the TP. Thought, ok good on its way any minute now. Nothing again until yesterday, some brown spotting again on liner. Nothing again since then! Why is it so weird and so late to start!? I DO NOT think I could even be pregnant. We DTD 1x unprotected 2 days after period stopped and after that used condoms, as we are officially going to be TTC after this AF if she ever decides to show. So what the heck! Why is my body being so indecisive. I am worried I didn't O! When I went off the pill to TTC last year, my periods were all regular with in a few days as mentioned above, pretty sure I always O'd and it only took 3 months to conceive Kaiya. I am starting to freak out, thinking something is wrong and I'm not going O and wont ever get preggo! Please tell me its just a fluke and everything will be fine next cycle!!

I wouldn't freak out too much, they say it takes up to 3 months for your AF to regulate after you get off the pill. You could have just had a longer cycle - not necessarily that you didn't ovulate, just that it took more then 2 weeks for your body to realize you were off the pill and needed to ovulate. Also, is it possible that maybe your condom broke? I would wait til after the weekend and test if you haven't gotten AF by then.

I hear this is very common with people after birth control. It took me 2.5 years to regulate after I quit... but I have PCOS.

I have heard it takes a few cycles to regulate after getting off the pill. But... I would test anyway just in case.

Yeah, I know, the doctors say it can take up to 3 months, but last time everything was pretty normal right away! I just want it to start and be over with so I can start TRYING!!!!!!!

Try not to worry. It could be that you just O'd a little later than normal since this was your first cycle off BC. And sometime women don't O the first cycle off of it. If AF doesn't show in a few days and you want to see if you did O or not the doctor can check your hormone levels to see if you did O.

It only takes once . I would give it through the weekend. If on Monday she still isn't here I would call the dr and see what they say. It could just be wonky from coming off BCP. I know that stuff can really mess with our hormones. Good luck TTC.

Each time I've come off of bc AF has been a little late. I hope she shows soon!

The first two times I stopped taking the pill I got pregnant right away, the third time It took 2 months for my cycles to regulate. FX that AF starts and you get to start TTC soon!!!

Thanks for the advice ladies! AF finally showed on Sat! Phew! On to TTC as soon as her ungly face is gone!
