The nurse from my midwife office called this morning with my blood work results... She said everything looks good and average except my insulin. My insulin is 22 and they want it under 10. But even with that she said it's not that big of a deal. They did schedule me for an appointment on the 22nd to see how were going to lower my insulin but they said if I eat better and loose weight a lot of it should go down on it's own (I've gained 35 pounds in a year and a half)

So I really didn't get a clear answer as I was looking for except eat better and loose weight.

I'm going to start working out and dieting and they will probably give me something to make my insulin levels lower.

I want to be healthy before trying again so it probably wont happen for a couple more months.

PCOS can affect your insulin. I am insulin resistant. Your doctor should be able to check if you have it by looking at your ovaries, doing BT for raised certain hormones as well as doing a 3 hour glucose test to check for insulin resistance. I would really suggest mentioning to your doctor.

Okay I will call and ask for copies... But... On the copies would it clearly say what's on there or is it a number thing? For instance, you said you had MTHFR well did it say that or did you already know cause you work in a hospital. I also work in a hospital and know some of those labs, I have no idea what they mean because I am only a PCA. Id have to get a 2nd doctor to check them out right?

Sorry your insulin is a little elevated. I have to say my triathlon training I think really helped me to be in better shape physically and emotionally and ready to be pregnant again. I think it contributed to the baby I carry now. I hope you can reach your goals and get a sticky healthy bean really soon.

I'm sorry you didn't get more definitive answers. I think getting copies of your bloodwork is a great idea. I really hope it all works out for you and you get your sticky BFP soon!
