Hi Ladies!
I have heard wonderful things about this board, and had to check it out for myself. My name is Lindsay, I'm 25, and me and my husband (Chris) have been trying to conceive since January 2011 (though it was more ntnp until March). In April this year I was having some severe pains while at work, and being the genus woman I am decided I'd be alright and worked through the pain. Well the pain persisted through to the next day, and when I finally went to the ER it was found I had a ruptured ectopic in my left tube. I was a little over 4 weeks when it was found, but it had already ruptured and was slowly bleeding into my abdomen. I went to emergency surgery and they were able to save my tube, though it was damaged and it's unknown if it will work correctly now. That happened on April 23rd, so now I am STILL waiting on my first AF to arrive since the surgery (any day now would be great...) so we can ttc again. I think about how far along I'd be right now (almost out of the first trimester), or the fact that I'd have been due December 27th and could've had a christmas baby. But the fact that it happened so early helps with the emotional part of all of this. Now if only the physical would cooperate...
So, as I said I have heard great things about you ladies from Erin(84), she is a lifelong friend of my husband's, and hopefully mine as well now. I'd love to hear some stories or random facts from anyone to get to know the strong amazing women in here. I look forward to getting to know you all and celebrate as we all get those BFP's everyone in this forum deserves so much. (So much for the SHORT intro part.. lol)

Random fact: I learned Chris didn't like sour cream the night Daniel Pemble put his butt through Chris's bedroom wall.
I love you and I'm so glad you're here, and of course we'll be lifelong friends! Now I get to stalk you like a lunatic

Sorry for you loss. Welcome to the group. The ladies on here are wonderful. I don't know I would have made it through all 3 of my losses without the ladies on this board.

I am so sorry for your loss.
I too am recovering from my most recent loss being an ectopic.
I have heard it can take a really long time for your first A/F to show. As soon as mine shows I have to call and make my appt to have a HSG done to make sure there is no blockage or damage to my tube.
I just this week stopped bleeding... I almost feel like I had A/F last week? But I am not sure. My bleeding stopped for 3 days and then started up just like a regualr A/F and last as long. And now the last 2 days I have been having major EWCM making me think I might be gearing up to O soon. But who knows.

Thank you ladies for the warm welcome, and I'm sorry to hear about all of your losses as well. This certainly isn't an easy road to be on, can't help but be more worried to ttc rather than be as excited as I was before now.
Lindsey, did you get the MTX shot or did you have to have surgery? Ectopics suck, I think the thing I hated was knowing it all could've been alright if it had gotten to it's right location. I'm sorry you have to go through all of the testing and such as well. My doc told me she didn't want to do the HSG so soon after surgery and we should just try for awhile first, but now I don't know if my tube is blocked or not, so we could easily get another ectopic. But good luck to you in the next coming weeks, I hope all the tests to perfectly and you can ttc again soon.

I had the MTX shot. I just got the all clear yesterday that my HCG is finally down to zero.
It was kinda hard to think I was doing the shot to terminate the pregnancy, but I tried to not think about that.
I dont have to have the HSG my DR just recomends it. He said he has a feeling after all my losses that maybe a part of something might have floated into my tube and caused a blockage. Since this is my 4th loss now he just wants to be sure nothing else is going on that might cause us more heartache.
I wish there was a test you could take that could give you a estimate when you period is coming.
I am using OPKs to see if I can see when I ovulate to maybe give me a 2 week warning. But I tried that after my last loss and they were all over the place and I ended up with the ectopic. I think I may have had a bad ovulation that helped to cause it. I am allowed to TTC next cycle with the HSG if I want to. How long do you have to wait since you did the surgery?

Well it's good your HCG is already down to zero, I've heard of women needing numerous shots to get it down, so at least that part was swift for you. And I definitely agree to get the HSG test just to see, I've also heard of women that get pregnant right after the HSG because if clears things up so much, so gl!
If there were a test to see when I'd get my period I'd be allll over it. I thought i got it earlier today...false alarm. My doctor said we would be fine to start whenever at my last appointment a week and a half ago, but she encouraged waiting another month because of my lack of af. Just want to get this show on the road already...so frustrating!

I totally agree with waiting for A/F now after any loss. Just because if you end up with another ectopic its really nice to know how far along you are. I did not wait after my last loss we had no clue how far along I was to see what my HCG should be. I thought I was about 5 weeks but my DR and now looking back at my temps and OPKs I think I was really about 7 weeks.
My Dr also told me that about the HSG he said I will have a really high rate of ending up pregnant that month and it being successful because everything will be all cleared out. I am just really nervous because I hear it can be painful. I expressed that to hubby last night and he said " I have watched you give birth and go through some pretty pain stuff in the last couple months I bet this will be nothing compaired to that." So if I can make it through the pain of an ectopic then I guess I can handle some cramps from a HSG.
I think I am gearing up to O right now and last night we DTD and I told hubby we need to be very careful and he did not want to...lol I thought it was funny that he was the one telling that instead of the other way around. I dont want to end up having another loss and having to wait even longer because I did not do the HSG.
