First Doctor's Appointment after m/c

So today I am in a much better place. I had my first doctor's appointment since my D & C and it went good. My doctor took blood to check my HCG levels and I should have those results this afternoon. I'm keeping my fingers crossed that it is back down to 0. Doctor says that we should wait for AF to appear and then we can start trying again. He is hopeful as I am now that our next pregnancy will end in a healthy baby. They did genetic testing on the baby and we still don't have those results back yet but our doctor seems to think that they won't find anything genetically wrong. I'll let you guys know after we get those tests back.

So right now I am very hopefull that after AF arrives, I can start trying again and hopefully get a BFP soon. I'm been so down since the D & C, that now it is so good to be hopefull again. Doctor was very reasurring that I did nothing to cause the mc. I guess it is just human nature to want answers and to blame yourself for the mc. I keep telling myself that I did nothing wrong, in fact I did everything right but it is so good to hear someone else tell you that. So that is where I am at right now. Hopefull and wating for AF. Never thought I would be excited for AF to show up..lol.

I hope your's starts soon. It's been 4 weeks since my miscarriage and its incredibly hard to be patient and wait for AF. I have PCOS and I have a feeling my period is going to take forever. Hopefully it won't take forever.

I'm glad your doctor telling you helped because you didn't do anything wrong. I hope AF shows for you quickly and that everything comes back good with your tests. Sending lots of baby dust your way!

LOL I have to completely agree with your comment about being excited for AF. I just finished my first AF after a m/c and D&C and I told DH that it felt really odd to be so excited about starting AF. But like you said I just feel hopeful again. Good luck sweetie! I'm glad you are feeling a bit better.

I blame myself. A lot. But in all honestly on my good days I do realize... I did nothing wrong! There is nothing I can do. So good luck! And I hope AF shows real fast...
