I think I'm ovulating!!!

I was feeling a little crampy today - typical ovulation type cramping. So I ran out and bought a Clearview digi OPK at lunch. Just got a big old smiley face. I'm having lots of CM too which I haven't had since the mc. I'm soo tempted not to wait a cycle. Ugh... I wonder if it could also be leftover HCG in my system giving me a positive? I guess we'll see if I still have one tomorrow. I definitely "feel" like I'm ovulating though. I will probably be a good girl and wait either way. I'm just really hoping this is ovulation and that things are starting to get back to normal. My HCG levels were 50,000+ when I had my D&C.

Yea. Hope you are ovulating. I'm going to try to wait until after AF shows up before we start trying. Doctor said we would ovulate before AF showed up again but not to try until after AF arrives. Good Luck whatever you decide.

OPKs do not test for HCG, they test for LH (luteinizing hormone). So if you have a positive OPK, it is because you are ovulating.

I thought someome told me once that the hormones were very similar and that if you were pregnant it could show up on an OPK but not the other way around. I hope that's wrong though cuz' I really want it to be ovulation!

Yay!! Maybe we'll end up in the same DDC again! Sounds like we'll be TTC around the same time... I'm having 2nd AF now, and we're planning on TTC this month when I ovulate (probably ten days from now). So glad your body is starting to get back to normal!

OPK's can also show positive if you have left over HCG in your system (I think it is because the hormones are so similar). But I would say if your having lots of CM it's probably that your Oing

Yes OPKS will be positive if you have HCG in your system.
But I hope this is O and your on the track to normal again.
I did not O until 4 weeks after my D&C but I know many ladies who do with in a week or so.

I haven't ovulated since my MC two weeks ago, but I'm really hoping I'll ovulate soon. I don't think I'll wait two cycles like the doctor prefers. I'm 33 years old, have no children, and tried for a year to get pregnant, so I'm not sure that I want to waste any time. Maybe you, doremi, and I will end up in the same DDC again! Good luck!

It definitely sounds like it's ovulation with your CM along with the +OPK. Good luck!! It sounds like your body is getting back on track!

Well, I had another smiley face today so I'm thinking I still just have leftover HCG in my system.

Unless I'm having an unusually long hormone surge. I'll test once more tomorrow and if it's another smiley then I'll know that I'm not really ovulating. So frustrating.

I usually get a positive OPK for around 2ish days so give it until tomorrow. Do you have any HPT that you could take to see if you still have HCG in your system?

I used my last one about 2 weeks ago. I may run out and get some cheapies. It's just so depressing taking the pregnancy tests now. Seeing that second line is like a slap in the face.
