I had another u/s yesterday at 8 weeks and the sac is indeed still empty. The doc called another doctor with more experience and she confirmed that at this point we should at least see something. I am scheduled for a D&C next week.
I am sad about it but at the same time just relieved to know exactly what is happening. I have spent the last 3 weeks in limbo waiting for some answers. Definitely not the answer I was looking forward to but at least an answer.
Thanks for all you support through all of this. I haven't posted much but when I do you are all extremely supportive even though you each have your own individual struggles.

I know words cannot really take away the feeling and emotions of a loss. I am sorry for your loss. Even though you now have answers it still stinks with the outcome. You are welcome to vent here. Know that we love you and will be here if you ever need to talk. (((HUGS))))
