Well my tests came back perfect, DH's not so well. I don't know about them, maybe someone here can shed some light
volume:1.5
Motility: 40
Motility rate: 2+
Count: 30 million
I have read a lot of good things about certain vitamins and plan to get him on some and have a repeat test in 3-6months. I am going to hold off on the clomid until then

Googled, and here is what I found:
Normal volume: 2ml-6ml
Normal motility: 50% or greater
Motility rating:
Grade 4: Sperm with progressive motility. These are the strongest and swim fast in a straight line. Sometimes it is also denoted motility a.
Grade 3: (non-linear motility): These also move forward but tend to travel in a curved or crooked motion. Sometimes also denoted motility b.
Grade 2: These have non-progressive motility because they do not move forward despite the fact that they move their tails.
Grade 1: These are immotile and fail to move at all.
Normal count: over 15 million
So, from what I can decipher, it looks like he has a normal number of sperm that are non-progressive swimmers, and that his volume and motility levels are a little low. How is he handling the news? I know it can be a real blow for guys to find out they are the ones with the "problem".

Remember the results can vary. For example:
My hubby's first SA:
volume:4
count (total): 120 million
motility: 40%
morph: 2%
1st one at RE:
volume: 4.5
count total: 21 million
motility: 35%
morph:2%
Last one with his sperm freeze
volume: 4
count total: 85 million
motility: 15%
morph:1%
So the doctor told him to start the fertilty blend for men that they have at GNC and to take a half a clomid every other day to boost his testosterone and sperm quality.

Hes taking it really hard. What a great anniversary present huh? Hes taking it better once Ive told him about vitamins and women saying they improved motility etc. The hospital's standards are really high compared to what everything ive read says.

I'm sorry he's having a hard time with the news Maybe once he understands more clearly what the lab results mean and feels like he has a game plan to improve his sperm quality, he will feel a little better.

Thanks for the reply! He's in still in denial, he keeps saying "There is a HUGE difference between when i have to get it myself then when we are having sex, I can tell more comes when we have sex, there is no excitement or build up when I have to do it"

Poor thing. My husband felt really bad about his results too. We did conceive naturally once, which was our loss, but that helped him a little bit. Have him retake the test, because that is low volume. Sometimes my husband says that more comes out, and sometimes not. I have heard good stories about those vitamins though, so have him take some of those.

Hi Michelle, I am sorry about the news for your DH about his sperm. I am not very good at reading that so the other ladies have answered your question. I actually have a vitamin supplement side business. The vitamins that we promote is Nutrilite brand. This brand is organic wholefoods supplements. I can PM you more information about this if you would be interested in looking into what we have available. Here is some info that might help.
Foods that increase sperm volume.
This is probably what men most often overlook when it comes to semen production - their daily routines and diet. Food is the main source for a number of substances required for your body's proper functioning and affects sperm production too. For example the deficiency of zinc in your daily diet may lead to lower fertility since the sperm count your body will produce will be less.
Zinc is contained in largest amount in oysters. Other foods to get your daily dose of zinc are meat (lamb, pork, beef and poultry), followed by beans, nuts, sunflower and pumpkin seeds.
In addition to these foods, a number of studies show that tomatoes, thanks to the lycopene contained in them, also increase sperm count.
Vitamins and nutrients improving sperm production.
For male fertility it is not only the sperm count that matters but also the quality of your semen.
Selenium and vitamins C and E can improve both your sperm cells' production and their motility (swimming action).
L-Arginine is amino acid (protein) that also plays an important role in semen production.
Let me know if you want more information on what I have to offer that will help your husband with the sperm quality.

I do not know allot about SA, DH hasn't had one but he might need to afterall... I had a PC (post coitol test) which checks CM and the swimmers in my CM. They seemed to be plenty of them and they were moving but that doesn't tell you **** like SA does.
I know Kary's DH had one and some of the other ladies who've graduated...

((HUGS)) Dh has supposed to have done a SA for over a year now and he keeps putting it off he is also worried it will be him. Give your DH time to think things through and keep reminding him it is something "fixable"

One- Vitamins do help they jumped my DH's count by 20 million!
Two- on the no excitement/build up- DH complains about the same thing, so a couple days before (3 day no sex to build up) I tease him like crazy. Then we talk about sex on the way to the office, then I go back with him and talk to him, (it's hard, I have a hard time with dirty talk but I push myself!-heck last time I even took my shirt off for him ) . It makes it easier for him and his volume is really good.

Sam - you are such a great wife!
Did your doctor talk to you about options? It sounds like the volume and mobility are a little low but the sperm volume looks good. I am obviously not a doctor but by looking at things I would say you are a good candidate for a clomid IUI cycle (or injectibles/IUI). Just my 2 cents.
I am sorry that DH is taking it hard but just tell him this is good news as now you can find a solution together to have that baby you both want!
