I posted here a couple of times after my m/c in April, but decided that I couldn't TTC right away so moved to the WTTC board. Now we are offically TTC so I thought I would come back and re-introduce myself.
My name is Amanda, my BF's name is Eric and I'm a SAHM to my DD Olivia (2) and my DSS Meyson (5). I also have 12 furbabies at the moment, my two kittens (Kansas and Delilah), my two dogs (Kitty and Lita) and Lita's 8 puppies (although 2-3 of the puppies have future homes and they will be ready to leave on Sat
).
My BF wanted to conceive right away after our loss, but I needed more time and my goal was to wait til the end of the summer, but I'm pushing the date up and we're starting now. I thought that by the end of the summer that I would be more prepared, but things are starting to come together sooner than I planned and when I thought about it, if I hadn't lost my angel, I would be having a baby by the end of the year and would have even less time to prepare than if I got pregnant today.
My biggest worry was finances, but things are actually looking up in that department. Eric's new job is going really well (even got a bonus on Friday Yay!) and he's starting his old job up again next month so he'll be working two. He wants me to be able to stay home with the kids so he's picking up the slack of us losing an income by working two jobs and I LOVE him for it!
Also, he'll have gotten his tax refund by the time the new baby comes along or right around the time, so I'll the bigger purchases, like a crib and other furniture, won't hit us as hard. He'll get a bigger refund this year because he'll be able to claim both kids, he alternates with his ex claming Meyson every other year and this year is his year.
