Someone told me about taking Soy to produce a stronger O. My dr thinks I don't ovulate strong enough and the egg isn't mature enough and wants to put me on Clomid but I have heard bad things about it and wanted to try soy first. Someone on a different board said not to take soy because it makes you NOT ovulate. Any input? How much did you take? Which days? Did you still O?

I don't know about soy but I have read that vitamin D actually helps in the follies production and ovulation. I also have been taking clomid and I have not noticed a big difference just a more regular cycle and stronger ovulation. If you think of taking vitamin D then do not take more than 2000 IU per day. At least that is what my doctor agreed with when I mentioned it. Perhaps Soy contain vitamin D and it might help.

Soy actually delayed my O but I has actually helped alot of women. Same goes for the Clomid. It boils down to how your body reacts. I had horrible reaction to the Clomid but the Femara worked wonders.

Soy helped me ovulate. I took 120mg on cd 2-6. I would go with what your doctor says though. If you are afraid of the side effects of Clomid ask for an alternative like what Katie took.

Good Luck!
