Okay I'm having DH type this up so it takes me less time

Friday DH cut his hand badly and I ended up taking him to the ER that evening for stitches. We were there for 3 1/2 hours before we finally got out to go home. On the way home about 5 minutes from the hospital a car ran a red-light and T-boned my car. Everyone was fine except me

I have whiplash and a broken, sprained, bruised arm.

Saturday morning I went to the ER to get checked (declined to Friday night because of how busy the ER was). They did x-rays said I had whip lash and a bruised arm/wrist. Send me home with a splint on. About an hour after I got home the ER doctor called and said he sat down and looked at my x-rays better and saw a fracture

could I come in and get a cast on... so of course I went in and got one on.

Today I went to the orthopedic doctor. He thinks there is a fracture and a misplaced bone so I'm having an MRI on Wednesday and then go back to the doctor next Monday...

I cannot go back to work until my arm is healed which sucks.

My car is going to get repaired hopefully next week and I'll have a rental then. Thank you all so much for the thoughts and prayers. I will still be around but probably not posting quite as much..

Katie so sorry about your accident and the broken arm. Hopefully it will heal quickly and you will be able to go back to work soon. Praying for speedy recovery.

I got t-boned several years ago and had severe whiplash. I ended up going through two separate round of PT. One right after the accident, and one after giving birth to my DS 9 months later. All I can say is make SURE you get to the bottom of any pain you're having in your neck, because it won't go away on it's own... it will linger for years! The only reason I knew not to just "ignore" the ongoing symptoms is because my Mom had been in a car crash similar to mine decades ago and had never done the PT for her neck, and has had problems ever since. Sorry about your arm too, and having to be out of work. The whole situation just stinks! So glad you weren't hurt more seriously.

I hope your arm heals fast Kaite. Hopefully they get your car fixed fast for you. Hopefully you can get some time to relax since you are off work.

I really hope you heal quickly! It must be so frustrating to be in pain and also have your mobility compromised! I hope that charges have been filed against the person who ran the red light!

Thanks ladies. I call the police department this morning to get the "official" report sent to me. I want to know what all he was charged with.

Your arm looks like a sock puppet. You should glue on some googly eyes and paint some lips. Then you can entertain yourself for hours.

Hope you heal quick Katie! I don't think ER doctors really read x-rays. I had a broken knee once that they sent me home as a soft tissue injury, I had to have surgery 2 days later.
