when you had the m/c??
Confession: I didn't call or go to see my ob/gyn when I had the m/c. I knew that there wasn't anything that he could do for me and I already tested and it was negative when the m/c started. Now, I'm worried that I have something going on in there since my last 2 cycles have been weird.
I'm really thinking about calling them to see if I can get in for a u/s just to make sure that I passed it all. Surely, I did though. Right?? I had an AF last month, she just showed up 2 days late.

With my loss in August I did not go to the doctor. Didn't see a point. I tested it out to make sure I went as close to 0 as HPT's will tell you. But I also got pregnant that cycle too so ended up seeing one a month later.
All others I was seen.

First of all, I'm sorry for your loss. From my experience with doctors who pushed a D&C on me I wouldn't go to a doctor after a m/c. There's not much they can do but unless your experiencing some difficulties like excessive bleeding or extreme pain but it sounds to me like you passed it. For me its better to be 2 days late than not having a period at all. I hope I was a help to you.

Thats what I was thinking, bluebawler. I had heavy bleeding and pain for 24 hours, then it went to spotting for 2 days, during the m/c.I agree that atleast AF showed up. Right now I'm 4.5 days late for AF this cycle. So, thats what has me wondering rather I should have went in to get checked out. I'm probably just being paranoid though!

My problem is I have PCOS so my cycles are going to be screwed up anyway. But if you have normal cycles before the m/c then I would maybe just give a call into the doctor. That's what I did to see if they could help me but they didn't. It could also be your hormones are still trying to get back to normal. Also try Vitex. I tried it last cycle to bring on AF and it worked! I would say relax and if you're that worried I would put a call into your doctor.

I saw my doctor but I didn't even know that I had mc until my doctor did an ultrasound and there was no heartbeat. Have you been trying this month? Maybe AF did not show up because your pregnant.

We continued to TTC right after the m/c. I thought that I was pregnant last month but AF showed after being 2 days late. I tested this morning and got a BFN on a digi. I'm almost 5 days late now.

My first to cycles were really wacky, and now this cycle is 2 days late, so I think it is normal for it to take several cycles to get back to normal. I saw my OB for my m/c because I am RH negative and needed a Rhogam shot. Plus, because of some of my symptoms, they wanted to do u/s to rule out an ectopic pregnancy. I'm glad I saw her, because then I felt like I could call her with questions when my cycles were wacky these past few months for extra reassurance.

Before my m/c my periods were all over the chart or at least it is how I felt (19 or 20 days minimum and max 35 days). Hormone helped regulate my cycles but after my m/c (still birth) I had to deliver. My periods after were 2 cycles were pretty even but then it started being a bit off.
My RE doc and nurse wants to have my cycle go beyond 35 days. If you are wondering and feel the need to be checked contact your doctor. I hope you can get answers.

I think I have a plan. I'm going to hold off and not test any more until Sat (unless AF shows by then), if I test sat and it's a BFN and AF hasn't shown up by Monday then I'm going to call my dr. That would make AF 1 week late.

I did go. The body normally does its job for the most part. It does sound like you passed it naturally. however, I think it is a good idea to have a quantitative HCG to make sure levels are back to 0 indicating no retained tissue(which can lead to DIC and be life threatening) The good thing is you didn't have any other concerning symptoms though. Also, my OB/GYN said I needed to come in for an exam to be sure my uterus went back to its proper place before we try conceiving again. I guess that makes good sense to me. However....I believe we can trust in what our bodies are telling us for the most part.

I saw the doctor after all of mine just because I wanted to make sure everything is okay. If you retain tissue it can cause you to get an infection. ((HUGS)) If you feel like something is off it never hurts to see the doctor.

I went to the doctor when I m/c but I already knew what was happening and that they couldn't do anything to stop it. I definitely think that if you have any worries or anxiety about it, you should call your doctor. It would give you peace of mind.
