Hey guys!

So I was curious to know if this is true or just a myth...

When girls end up spending a lot of time with each other and their cycles end up "matching up" and just totally changing the schedule?

I grew up living with my dad and younger brother so obviously they wouldnt change my cycle but recently my best friend needed somewhere to stay to get back on her feet so I opened my dooir for her and shes has been living here for about a month now.

Well.... I am 6 days late for AF.... Usually I can be 1-3 days late but 6 seems a bit much... I know what your thinking "TEST!" but I dont feel preggo. I dont even feel like AF is coming... DH and I had unprotected sex just once this month. (I know it only takes once but still!)

Also Im kinda hoping not to get pregnant until my insulin levels are lower... I am charting ovulation so I can start progesterone... and to start Heparin shots... So on the very SLIGHT chance I am pregnant this month I will just be setting myself up for failure.

Could it be my BFF is really messing up my cycle now? Or is that a myth and I should go test?

Thank you ladies!

I've found that it isn't always the case but it can happen. I've even been pulled into synch with ladies that I work with...

Hope you get regulated soon!

Not sure if it's a myth or not but I spend every day with my secretary and we have the exact same cycle. She's been my secretary for about 5 years and I wasn't paying attention to my cycles back then so don't really remember if it changed but i do know that now we are on the same cycle.

I think I would test if I was you just to see. Let us know if you do test.

I definitely think it can happen...I've been on the same cycle as different friends through the years. I would also test...just so you know. Keep us posted!

I've heard of this as well. Atleast if you test, then you will know that either your pregnant or your not. Of course, that doesn't answer the "why hasn't AF showed up yet" question!!

I would test because if you need a blood thinner the sooner you know the better.

At my last job the 3 ladies I worked with we all ended up having the same cycle. Although I would still test.

It could happen but you really should test so that if it's positive you can start your blood thinners as soon as possible

my mother-in-law moved in with me for a while and my cycle, which is always every 28 days...changed over time to be in line with hers. in my head i was like, yuck...I don't want my body to "align" with hers, lol. but it did, gradually, until we were on the same cycle. not sure if there is any reasoning behind it, and I certainly don't remember it from nursing school...but I think there is some truth to it.

It could happen, but I would still test since you'll need blood thinners if you get a bfp.

TEST!!!

I think it really does happen, but its gradual, not a one cycle readjustment. But TEST!! That way you can get on anything you need to be on.
