I posted earlier that after more spotting last night I expected to wake up to AF in full force. This morning- nothing. I posted at lunch that AF was still no where to be found.
After lunch today I was so tired I couldn't keep my eyes open. I laid down at work for 5 minutes and took a nap-- I set the alarm on my cell phone. Then towards the end of the work day my boobs started killing me. My boobs never hurt during AF. Still no AF so I stopped on the way home from work and bought two FRER's.
I told myself over and over that I wasn't going to take one until the morning. I got home, had to go to the bathroom so I figured-- screw it! I will still have two more tests at home... I gotta know!
Now Monday I took a FRER with FMU and it was as negative as could be. Today is only 2 days later and it was 5:00pm. I took it anyway and this is what I saw:
The line was so visible even without squinting despite it being so late in the day!!!! I'm going to take another test in the morning with FMU just to see and then Saturday I'll still take the test that I told my dh that I wouldn't take until then. LOL
I pulled my dh aside, away from the kids, and told him I had to confess something. I pulled the test out and showed him. He was so excited. I also confessed it wasn't the test I promised I'd save. He grinned. =)

Congratulations momma! Many prayers for a healthy stickie bean. When you are ready the ladies on the pregnancy after loss board are there to support you. We know how hard this first trimester is. Can't wait to hear about your first appointment. When are you calling the dr?

Thanks! See, I don't know when I'm going to call. I may call tomorrow to set up an appointment but I think I'm going to try to hold that appointment off until several weeks down the road. I'm gun shy at this point I think....................

congrats!!! i totally thought you'd get a + with that metalic taste symptom b/c i had that too. best wishes for a happy & healthy 9 months for you and your LO...now come check out PAL when you're ready

Thanks girls! You know the sad part is that back in the day when I was pregnant for my kids, the ignorant confidence I had with my pregnancies was amazing. OF COURSE nothing was going to happen with my pregnancies and nothing did.
Now fast forward to now-- I hate the happiness mixed with fear and the unwillingness to plan for anything just yet. It's impossible for any of us getting a BFP to just sit back and smile and know you'll hold your baby in 9 months. That really makes me sad. That's not fair for any of us...

Yes I miss that ignorant bliss. It really made the first 18 weeks rough. I hope that you get to enjoy your pregnancy. Remember you are pregnant and nothing can take that away from you.

Congratulations! I am so happy for you and praying that you have a beautiful...happy....healthy 9 months ahead of you! I feel the same way about my previous pregnancies. I had all of the confidence in the world. I was worried about typical things like genetic issues, but honestly, never a m/c. Now, I am afraid that it will consume my thoughts for the entire first trimester when i do get my BFP again. But, I hope those worries fade away with you. I know we are all at a risk for worrying, but try and enjoy it as best you can and GOOD LUCK to you!
