When do you begin counting cycle days after m/c? The Cytotec finally kicked in this morning, as horribly sad as I have been the past few days today was all most a relief (God it sounds so awful just typing that). I'm just so ready for the healing part of all of this. I was wondering do you begin to counting for your regular cycle after the bleeding or when the m/c begins?

I know that cycles will be screwy for a bit but I'm wondering what to expect. Prior to the M/C I had a consistent 26 day cycle with AF lasting 4-5 days tops.

Did your cycle change after your M/C? Was it a permanent change or did it go back to "normal." I know prior to DS I had a very textbook cycle of 28 days, but the 26 seemed to be a permanent change.

Thanks for your help!

I'm so sorry for your loss
I counted the first day of bleeding as CD1 and then started charting right away. My m/c cycle was a little longer than normal...I ovulated a week later than usual. After that, my cycles went back to normal for the next 2 months and now this cycle and the one before, I have ovulated late which is really frustrating. I hope you go right back to normal right away!

I'm afraid that I can't offer any advice, as this is my first time going through all of this and I'm just a little bit ahead of you. But I wanted to let you know that you're not alone in feeling that relief. I know that when I finally passed my little bean, and got to hold it for a minute and cry with DB, it was a huge relief. The thing that I'd been expecting and dreading for almost a week had finally happened and now I could think about grieving and moving on. And it must have been even more so for you, after your rollercoaster of hope and loss. Be nice to yourself and let yourself grieve, but remember that life going on is as inevitable as it is painful. Your little angel would want you to love them and get stronger so that you can welcome the little brother or sister they're going to send down to you!

Sending you lots of love and prayers...

I would just count from when your heaviest bleeding starts (sounds like today).

I counted the day I passed everything or D&C as CD 1. But I never got A/F for about 6 weeks after each loss... other than ectopic. I got pregnant the same cycle as a loss but have no clue when because my temps and opks were going crazy.
So this last time I waited until A/F and counted that as CD 1 and just ran the miscarriage cycle right along with that cycle, if that make since? You can look at my chart to see what I did.
Its hard to tell after a loss you could O in normal time like a normal cycle or you might not O for 4 weeks. But by temping and possible use of OPK's you may be able to find out when you do.
