Update on me 2nd Update Added

So, I went in for my u/s and b/w today for my IVF cycle. They found 6 good follies on each ovary that were measuring over 10. They also found 10+ smaller follies that may grow and make it for my retrieval. So as it stands right now, I have 12 good follies and maybe more. My E2 levels were also 1300 which is good for this part of the IVF. If all goes to plan, I should trigger Monday night and have my retrieval first thing Wednesday morning.

I go in for another u/s and more b/w on Sunday to check again.

Wish me luck girls because this is literally my hubby and I's last chance at TTC. I hope to God everything turns out and we finally get our miracle after 3+ years.

****UPDATE****

Well I had another u/s and some more blood work today. They measured 20 good follies!

Around 5 of them were just under 16mm so I have one more night of a lower dose of my stims with a possible trigger tomorrow. My E2 levels were just above 3000 today, so I am pretty much there. I do have to go in for more b/w tomorrow though. That will determine my trigger. So I hope they get all 20! Here is praying! If all goes well then retrieval is on Wednesday.

****2nd UPDATE 7/18/2011****

I had a weird day with my levels. They dropped by more than half so I had to rush back in for more blood work and another u/s, but this time directly with the doctor. I now have over 20 follies and a lot are measuring at 20mm. I hurt, I'm bloated, cranky, crampy, and retaining fluid. I go in for my retrieval this Wednesday at 9:45 am. They keep changing all my meds to accomodate me. I think it was a lab error regarding my levels. I trigger tonight at 10:45 pm. I cannot wait for this part to be over. I hope that this is all worth it in the end.

Lori, the thing is, I had this irrational fear that I was not going to respond well because my FSH was slightly elevated. I was hoping for more eggs over 10, but I am happy with that number so far. I cannot believe time has passed so quickly!

I know those irrational fears well. I'm having them about my IUI failing- maybe no eggs came from those 3 good sized follies, maybe 24 hours wasn't enough for the trigger to work, maybe he needle he used wasn't long enough, maybe I started the progesterone too soon (even though I followed his orders), etc. We're going to drive ourselves crazy!

I hope those follies grow and grow and grow (not too much though) and they are able to get a whole bunch and they all fertilize into perfect little embies!

Thanks ladies! I am still slightly nervous, but I know it will all be over in a little bit. When I went in today, I also had to go over my anesthesia consents again. I didn't realize retrieval was so invasive. They were talking about the possibility of having to put a breathing tube in also. Lol. I guess it all depends on how the person reacts to anesthesia. Bad thing is I have bad experiences being knocked out, so we�ll see. Plus I have had a sore throat for the last few days. I hope the antibiotics help after the retrieval.

Your E2 levels are in a good range for the amount of follies you have. How many fertilized are you going to put back in? Your hormones must be driving you batty right about now! - it will all be worth it in the end.

Missy, I am a hormonal MESS right now, and to top it all off, I have some kind of sinus infection/head cold/ allergy thing going on. Thing is, we are supposed to BD tonight to boost my hubby's numbers, and I told him that he better get better acquainted with himself. Lol.

I have no voice, can barely talk, my throat hurts, my nose is plugged and running at the same time (go figure), and I am bloated and crampy from all the eggs. I have to start eating salty foods to help with my fluid build up too (another go figure, I thought it was opposite) and drink a lot of gatorade.

I just REALLY REALLY REALLY hope this is it. Pray for me ladies!
