My mc was about 6 weeks ago and my HCG levels are now at 4. Two weeks ago they were at 6.3 so they have not decreased much the past two weeks. My doctor says that this is fine. They are testing again in 2 weeks to see if they are back to 0. It just seems to me that my levels are decreasing really slow. Did you guys get your HCG levels tested after your m/c? How long did it take for the levels to get back to 0? I'm just so ready for my body to be back to normal.

It took about six weeks for me to get to zero and it seemed to take the longest at the very end. I think I went from 6000 to 100 in the first week and then to 20 and then it took three more weeks to get to zero. It sounds like you are getting close. Hopefully it will be zero before your next test.

Im surprised they are testing again. At the labs in Canada they consider anything less than 5 normal for non pregnancy.
Anyways Im sorry for your loss, I hope everything returns to normal for you soon. Its hard enough to go through, without the added complication of waiting for your body to regulate. Hugs

It doesn't need to be zero to be negative. Anything under 5 is considered negative, as all women have some hcg in their system.

Having gone through chemo b/cof my m/c and hcg level I know a lot about this. I had to see an oncologist b/c it took me 6 1/2 months for my hcg to reach neg. They consider below 5 negative so I wouldn't worry too much. Right now you are considered negative.

Sorry for your loss.

I am so sorry for your loss You are considered negative at this point. I would not be surprised if AF shows up in the next 2 weeks.

Thanks for all your responses. I feel better after reading them. I was a bit worried because it was taking so long to go down. I['m going to ask the doctor why they are still testing since below 5 is considered negative.

I agree with the other ladies. I am surprised they are going to test your blood again. My doctor didn't test me after my levels dropped down to 5.
