Just got home from my doctors appt. Good news and bad news... Good news is my wrist/arm is NOT broken.... bad news is my ligaments are stretched so bad that if they stretched any farther they would snap My doctor is now referring me to a hand specialist. I have an appointment there August 4th.. not to happy that I have to wait that long either... He then tells me that I have to be off work until then.. I fought with him until he said I can go back half days. So 4 hours a day I can work and that's it... but hey at least it will be a little money coming in because we can't afford to go without paychecks. That's all for me

I'm so sorry that you didn't get the news you wanted. It is so hard when you are required to be off from work when you want to work and need that income coming in. I hope you get better news when you go in on the 4th. Stinks that you have to wait that long for a doctor's appointment. that's a few weeks away.

Wow, that is so scary! I'm glad you are able to at least go in to work a little bit. Is there any way the hand specialist can get you on a waiting list and maybe see you sooner?

I am so happy for you that you have no broken bones in your hand, wrist or arm. Sorry to hear about the ligaments - be really nice to your hand so that the ligament does not snap. My mom had that happen to one of her ligaments tied to her thumb. She needed surgery later on and had that done this spring. I hope your appt with the hand specialist goes well.

Thanks Yeah but originally they told me no until September and I freaked. The doctor called that doctor's office and got me in for August 4th. So I could have been waiting longer.

They are really book out and the specialist is on vacation for 2 weeks and apparently he is the only one around that does this stuff. He is an hour away and to find anyone else it 2+ hours.

Thanks Lovisa. It stinks that it's a ligament but I'm hoping it heals itself and I don't need surgery.

Thanks Sam! At this point I'm not sure what would be worse a break or this lol.

Missy I'm thankful the bosses are going to let me try it.. not sure what I'll be able to do since I type with one hand it will be harder for me to dispatch the guys but we shall see how it goes.

I'm glad that it's not broken, but I'm really sorry about the ligament. It almost might have been easier for the ligament to be fine and the bone to be broken. I hope you heal quickly and are able to get back to work soon. Being out with no money coming in is very stressful.
