Im new to this forum. I had a d&c a week ago today. This was my second loss, my other loss was in 2005 and was a natural mc at 6 weeks. I was 9 weeks when I lost this baby, I tried for 3 weeks to let my body do it naturally but my hcg levels just kept creeping up so I had no choice but to do the d&c. Physically Im doing well, mentally Im struggling. I feel so angry and empty inside. I go to the dr. tomorrow for a follow up, I know he is going to tell me to wait one cycle but I really dont want to. I really feel like I need ttc right away. With my last mc I did get pregnant right away. but Im not sure maybe with a d&c your supposed to wait. What has everyone here done, did you wait the one cylce?

I am so very sorry for your losses. As far as waiting goes, since you had a D&C it would probably be best to wait until AF returns. With my first loss (natural) I waited the 3 months the doctor said and was miserable the whole time. With my second (natural) I started ttc right away and DD is the result. My third was a D&C. It killed me to wait until AF returned, but I was afraid to try before that. I wish you luck with whatever you choose. The ladies here are awesome. I hope you are able to find some comfort here.

I am so sorry about your loss. I had a D & C also and my doctor said to wait one cycle which would strenghthen the lining of my uterus. that's what we are doing. AF should be here next week then we are going to start trying. Again I am so sorry for you loss.

Sorry for your losses.
I would wait until A/F comes and then start. For one some DRs do scraping during the D&C and that can really thin out your linning. And this way you will know for sure where you are in your cycle.
After my miscarriage in march I did not wait and got pregnant right away and it was an ectopic and I had no clue because I did not know where I should have been in my cycle and it could have been deadly.
Good luck and hope you get your BFP fast.

I'm sorry for your loss. Welcome to the board, the ladies here are awesome!
I also waited until AF showed after a D&C, for the same reasons stated above. Hope your stay here is short!

I'm so sorry for your loss . I didn't wait for AF to return after my m/c's but I didn't have a D&C. If I had went through one, I would probably wait 1 cycle to start TTC again. I know how hard the wait is though!! HUG honey. I hope that AF shows in a timely manner and you can get back to TTC.

Sorry for your losses. My doctor recommed that I wait two cycles when I had a natural m/c. I really trust him and always tend to trust his advice so I waited, plus, I was in no way emotionally ready to try again at that point.
I would wait at least one cycle, just to make sure your body has enough time to recover and you will be able to tell where you are in your cycle. Good luck, I know waiting can be the hardest part!

((HUGS)) I am so sorry for your loss. I had a D&C with my first loss and was told I could TTC right away. If my body isn't ready to get pregnant it won't. It really comes down to personal choice.

Thanks everyone for the kind words. It really helps me. Not very many people know that I was even pregnant so I dont have a lot of people to talk to.

I'm so sorry for your loss...
I'm afraid I can't give any advice. I'm struggling with the decision myself. Best of luck and I hope there's a very sticky BFP in your near future.

Hi Lisa I am so sorry to see you join in here. I had a D&C and my OB recommended that I wait to TTC until I had one normal AF. HUGS sweetie!
