I just started my second AF since my mc in June and it has been terrible. I have had cramps so bad that I haven't wanted to get out of bed. This morning was really bad and the bleeding has been extremely heavy more so that I usually have. Did anybody else experience really bad AF's after their m/c? I have an appointment with my doctor next Tuesay and I'm going to talk to him about it but just wondered what you guys experienced with your first couple of AF's after mc.

The second a/f for me has always been the worse. Very heavy bleeding even clots and painful cramps.
From what I have heard from others that is very common.

YES! For like 3 cycles my AF was horrible. At one point the cramping was so bad I almost went to the ER thinking something was wrong. I would ask your doctor for some pain medicine suggestions or a prescription to ease it during this time. Other than that I suggest a heating pad and lots of rest (if possible).

I hope you feel better soon and that this is the last AF cycle for a while for you!!

YES! I had horrible AFs after my losses- flow that was out of control, clots, and terrible cramps that radiated down my legs. I hope you feel better soon and that this is the last AF you have to see for at least 9 months!

From your lips to God's Ears!! Thanks ladies for the replies. Good to know that I'm not the only one whose had a terribly painful AF after mc. As if the mc wasn't bad enough now this.

And yes we are now starting to try again. Yea, so happy about that and hopefully we will get our BFP quickly.

My first two cycles were awful. The first cycle, I bled for 13 days, the second I bled for 12. Thankfully, my third cycle was back to normal. I did talk to my OB, and she was not concerned. She said it was my body's way of getting back to normal.

I agree with the others mine were as well. The heating pad really helped some with the cramping.
