Hi ladies:

I had a m/c induced by Cytocec two weeks ago and I am still bleeding. I've spent hours on google and I am still not sure what normal bleeding is after m/c.

I am not overly concerned; however, a little voice keeps wondering if maybe I should worry. I would hate to think this is normal and then end up with an infection or something.

I have none of the alarming symptoms mentionned on the internet....filling more than one pad per hour or a fever but I just thought things would have slowed down by now.

Any advice would be great.

Thanks

I bled for almost two weeks after my D & C. I think it quit right around the two week mark. I think everybody is different but if you have any concerns at all I would call your doctor just to verify that all is well.

I'm so sorry for your loss. I hope the bleeding stops soon.

I had cytotec also...
You can check out my chart for how long I bled...about 3 weeks...and then, gonna warn you, for the next two cycles, I had a ton of spotting after AF...finally, this cycle (more than 3 months after the M/C), I am having a normal cycle (no spotting)...

It is normal, but it sucks cause it is such a hard reminder of what happened

The longest I've bled after a m/c was about 3 1/2 weeks. It would also kind of come and go in heaviness.

I bleed for 5 weeks after my ectopic and my dr said one more week and he was going to stop my bleeding to give me a break. So i would say bleeding for over a month is when I would start to worry and call my dr.

After my cyctotec loss (baby last measured 8w5d but I did not pass it until 13w). I bleed for 13 days

After my D&C loss I bleed for one day spotting for about 4 more days and that was it.

There is no "normal" time frame but I agree if you feel concerned then contact your doctor. ((HUGS)) I am so sorry your having to go through this.

Thanks ladies. I would have called the doc but he is on vacation until the 15th of August and I didn't want to sit for hours in the emerg for them to tell me this was completely normal. I have an appointment by telemedicine next week so I will mention it to the gyno then.
