I know I read this but I was no where close to time to O so apparently I didn't store it in my brain!

Okay, if this cycle is like a normal cycle for me I should O this Saturday (Aug 6th). I am tring to figure out when we should DTD. I know sperm live for several days but my egg only lives for up to 24 hours. I was thinking maybe Friday night, Saturday morning, Saturday night and again Sunday morning. That would get some little swimming near my egg every 12 hours or so. Then I started wondering, if we do it that much will my DH be shooting blanks after the first time? Is all that frisky business too much of a good thing?

Any suggestions?
Thanks!
Shari

Sperm can live up to five days inside you, so you usually have a fertility window of about a week. I would start dtd around Tuesday or Wednesday if you are expecting to O Saturday, and try for once a day for about a week, just in case your calculations are off with when you are supposed to O.

If your husband had a low sperm count, then every other day would be better. Otherwise, once a day is fine. It takes time to regenerate sperm.
