Will OPK's work once HPT is negative after M/C? Thinking about starting to use them again soon, but want to make sure I'm not wasting them. It's been 11 days since my M/C, and I got a negative HPT about 3 days ago. I don't get my HCG rechecked till Monday. Thanks for any tips. I just started temping again 4 days ago.

Yes once your HCG is negative OPK's should work properly.

I agree with Lindsey. Once your HCG is zero then your OPK's should work. Good luck sweetie! I hope your body jumps right back and you O right away.

Just my experience, but with one of my m/c's, I started using opks as soon as my hcg was O, and while they do work (showing a LH surge) my body was not actually getting ready to O yet. Your hormone levels are so out of wack when you have a m/c, not just hcg, but all the hormones. I got a positive opk for 3 days starting with cycle day 1 through cycle day 4. (CD1 was the day my hcg was 0 and I was bleeding heavy). It became positive again about CD19.

Since your 11 days out from the start of your m/c and if your hcg is 0, then you might be in a better spot to start testing. With my other later m/c's (6wk+) I did not ovulate for the first 1-2 cycles after m/c. ( I charted too). Good luck to you!

My temps still have been a little on the elevated side. My loss was at 6w5d and I bleed heavily about 11 days ago with a HCG of 2000, and now have a negative HPT. So who knows when my body will decide to kick things into gear again. Thanks for the info ladies!
