Just had miscarriage and d & c and looking for any advice??

I just had a d&c on July 20th. My doc told me to wait one cycle before ttc but I have been so irregular all my life, I am afraid if I wait too long, I'll miss the boat. I am almost 34 years old and desperately want to become pregnant. My story is that I got pregnant after four months of trying. The first 3 months of trying i did not ovulate. In the fourth month, I finally ovulated. Took HPT on June 23 and was positive. Had HGT tests done and showed my levels were rising as they should.... 169 to 1800 to 3700. Then went to doc on July 11th for ultrasound & was told there was a sac but no fetus. With that, I went through with a d&c about a week later. I am also concerned with the lining of my uterus being too thin after d&c. I have been drinking rasberry tea (read somewhere this helps...I am desperate). I have become so stressed & emotional over all of this and I am really trying to stay positive. Has anyone else gone through this? Any advice would be greatly appreciated. thank you.

I am so sorry for your loss.
Most people say that your body wont get pregnant until its ready and to go ahead and start trying beofre A/F shows. You will also hear to wait a cycle to let your linning thinken & so you know where you are in your cycle.
I hope you get your BFP fast when ever you do decide to start again.

((HUGS)) I am so very sorry for your loss. I agree with Lindsey. I asked my doctors and she had told me there was no medical reason to wait. If your body isn't ready it won't get pregnant. I have tried right away after all of my losses.

My doctor told me to wait one cycle which is what we decided to do. But I think the ladies above are right also. Your body won't get pregnant unless it's ready to.

I am so sorry for your loss. I hope you get your BFP quickly.

Im so sorry to hear about your loss. They usually tell you to wait just so you will know the date your due.

So sorry for your loss. The D&C shouldn't effect fertility. I had 3d&c's and got pregnant no problem.

When it comes to waiting just so you know your due date, they can always due an ultrasound to determine a due date, so I wouldn't use that as a reason to hold off. I just had a natural M/C 7/20 and we're trying again right away. My body feels ready, I'll just have to see what it does. Best of luck to you!

I am sorry for your loss. I agree with the other ladies. Your body wont get pg unless it is ready.

I am so sorry for your loss. I am 37 so I totally understand your feeling of urgency and not wanting to wait too long. I agree with the others that your body won't get pregnant if it's not ready. It mainly depends on whether you feel emotionally ready to start TTC again. I had also heard the same about the raspberry leaf tea. It is supposed to help strengthen your uterus. I'm drinking it too...I'm not sure if my uterus is stronger, but it certainly won't hurt. I've read conflicting things about when to drink it, but a lot of people have said to only drink it from AF up until ovulation as it can make your uterus contract. That's what I do, just in case. Good luck and I hope you get a sticky BFP right away!

I am so sorry for your loss! My Dr. recommended waiting until I had a normal period after my D&C (which we did) but I know lots of ladies who started TTC right away. Good luck!

If you're getting sick of drinking the tea, my friend swears by the red raspberry pill supplement you can get at the health food store...I have not tried it b/c I have a horrible time getting pills down but just an idea :0)

I just wanted to say I am sorry for you loss. Do you chart? You might want to look into charting and using OPK's if you not ovulating to see if you are ovulating. Hope that helps some. I don't want to overwhelm you with ways to help you get pregnant but charting is a great way to start seeing when your ovulating.
