This has never happened before but for the last few days post m/c I have been leaking milk. My breasts are engorged and it is like I had the baby. I was 8.5 weeks along so I am not sure why this is happening. My mom is a maternity nurse and doesnt know either but told me to ice them and wear tight bras. I started leaking through my shirt at a friends house. Anyone else ever have this?

I had it with my loss at 15 weeks. Usually it only happens with losses beyond 12-13 weeks. It should only last a couple days. Nursing pads should help so you don't leak on your shirt. Cabbage is said to dry you up faster. Mine only lasted about 2 days if I remember correctly. I was super pissed about it though. It seemed so unfair.

Yea my mom said that I should not be having this issue. my HCG should be zero. I was going to call my RE about it and see what they say. It has been going on for a few days. It hurts a lot and it is lightning up but worse at night. It is like little reminders of what I lost and it makes me want to cry.

I did not have that happen. My loss was at 11 weeks. I would definitely call your doctor. I'm so sorry that this is happening to you.

It is so wierd I was only 8.5 weeks. I go form my beta tomorrow to make sure I am at 0 so we can start with planning on natural or back to the IVF. So I am going to ask to talk wit a nurse when I get there. I wish I would dry up now. It is uncomfortable. I plan on breast feeding and it is just a reminder. It is not the physical pain as much as the mental. The bleeding is almost done and I just want this to be done. We are going to try natural until we decide if we are going back to the IVF.

Since you did IVF it could be the increased hormones you had to take that caused it. Your dr should be able to give you a pill that will dry you up faster. So sorry. I felt it was a cruel joke as well when it happened to me. Just another reminder of what I didn't have.

Once again my body has stumped the RE office. They have no idea why I am leaking. They said they have a pill if my prolcatin is high. Waiting on the bw to see if that is what it is. that could be the cause. It is just very unusual this early on.

I didn't leak but my milk was coming in after I miscarried with a blighted ovum at 12 weeks. It never even crossed my mind that such a thing would happen. It made me sad...

Yea I am finally starting to dry up but I never thought I would after only 8.5 weeks. My body wanted the pregnancy I guess but it was etopic so there was no saving it.

I also had lactation a few days after I miscarried at 8w3d. So strange! I never really got it checked out, but it only lasted a few days.

I am having my prolactain level checked to see what that is. Then they will decide if I will get medication to dry me up. I am still leaking but not as much. They are still heavy.
