I am SO glad I went! Obviously there's a lot still to be done, but I feel good making that first step. The doctor I saw was very nice, understanding, and honest. She looked at my charts and was encouraged that I have a good LP and am obviously ovulating. We are going to start with blood tests and if those come back normal, then we'll get into the more invasive testing. So, I go in on August 18th to have my Progesterone, Prolactin, & TSH tested (I may see if they'll do an HCG test too since I'll be CD25). If I don't get pregnant this cycle, then I go in on CD 3 to have Estradiol & FSH tested. She got me a prescription for Clomid so I will take that CD 5-9 and then go in on CD 10 to have my FSH & Progesterone tested. Hopefully one or all of those tests will give me some kind of clue. She also gave me a cup so that I can bring in my BF's semen for a sperm analysis because, as she said...it might be something going on with him.

I was so nervous going in there, but she made me feel really comfortable and really listened to me. I am hoping that I'll get a BFP and not even have to do those other tests, but if not then, at least I'm moving forward.

That does sound like a wonderful appointment. I keep putting off seeing a doctor as well. Keep us updated, and like you said I hope you get that BFP before the test have to be done.

Sarah sounds like you had a great appointment with a really good doctor. I'm keeping my fingers crossed that you get your BFP this cycle and don't even have to worry about all those tests. But I'm so glad that you have a game plan. I so want you to get that BFP soon.

Thanks ladies! Your support means so much! No one else truly understands this like the women in JM! I am so grateful!

My BF just got home and I can't wait to see the look on his face when I show him the little cup and explain what it's for! LOL!! It should be interesting! I'll wait and see what my bloodwork looks like before I attempt to put him through that pressure. Plus, I want to use all of his swimmers for TTC so it would have to wait until after ovulation anyway. At least he can do it at home and not have to go to a clinic.

Sarah it sounds like you had a wonderful appointment. I hope that all your results come back well and you get your BFP before you even need to have DH tested.
