So today makes it exactly 3 weeks post d&c and since about 1w post I became an obsessive compulsive poas addict testing almost every other day.........I'm actually embarrassed by this but what can I say this was a new experience for me and I wasn't exactly sure what my body was supposed to do. I took one test this past tuesday and decided that if it came back positive that I would make myself wait for the cheaper ones I ordered to arrive and to save my last digi for when it was time to seriously use the test. So I made it 2 1/2 days without any poas but then this evening I caved and I just had to know and yay it finally says not pregnant! I'm happy that it finally gave me the answer I wanted but at the same time upset because that test just confirmed what I logically already knew had happened if that makes sense? So heres to hoping for a speedy AF and quick bounce back in to "normal" I love that word even though it will never describe me lol. I had to share with someone because if I told any of my family this they may have thought I was crazy so I hope no one minds. I also have a question about how long it generally took after getting a negative for AF to return? I want to try to be prepared as possible so if anyone has any info on that I would greatly appreciate it!

I'm sorry that you are going through this. I did the same thing testing until it came back negative. I didn't get AF until about 8 weeks after my D & C. I don't remember how long it was after my negative test that AF did show up.

I hope AF shows up for you soon. I know it helped me alot when she showed up. I started feeling normal again.

I am sorry about what you went through. I never had a d&c but after my 2nd trimester still birth it took 5 weeks for me to get my AF.

I never tested after my D&C's so I don't know how long it could take to get AF. I hope it arrives quickly so you can move on to your next cycle and TTC. So sorry for your loss but super happy that your numbers are that low.

I know exactly how you are feeling!

I had a still birth on June 21 followed by a D&C. I could not wait for AF! Crazy?!?! I just really, really wanted that sign to show I was back to normal and so I could start trying again. Honestly I think it gave me something to focus on besides being sad. And after AF arrived I relaxed for a few days then I became obsessed with looking for my CM to seeing when I might be Oing.... (I have just started my 2 week wait! I'm sure I'll be testiing soon looking for that BFP!)

Well... sorry I seemed to have gotten off.... to answer your question....
AF came 33 days after my DC... you are wise to be ready... I spotted lightly for a day or two then BANG, heavy full blown AF!

Thanks for all of the input so far. If things were to go back to "normal" and I consider cd1 the day of the d&c and I was having 31d cycles before the loss that would put me at around August 15th to "expect" af. I'm hoping this isn't the case because that date as well as the 14th just seem like a bad omen to me now. So here's the reason why and it may seem silly and its probably me just over-analyzing. My LMP was May 14, pos hpt June 15th, Worst news ever July 14th, d&c July 15th. I know its all just coincidence but it still makes me stop and go hmm as I try to just figure the whole thing out. So with that said I do want af to hurry up to get the feeling of "normalcy" again but not on the 14th or 15th............now I'm hoping I don't come across as a weirdo to everyone.
