Well, it finally happened this morning. I am just glad it wasn't ectopic, and now I can officially move on emotionally. I think I am gonna try and get the dr. to do a work up and maybe in 6 months or so, we may try again before his next deployment in July. (he is leaving...again...for another 6 months) Does anyone know what kind of work ups they even do if you have a history of miscarriages? I know some things can likely be ruled out, since I have two children, but they were from my previous marriage. But that would probably rule out all the clotting issues and things. But I have no idea what else could be an issue. Maybe a SA for my DH? I clearly don't have a problem "getting pregnant" so, I don't know. I am thinking it could be my hormones, or genetic issues between us maybe. who knows. anyways, I am rambling....thanks for listening

I am so sorry for your loss. After my second loss last year, they ran a full panel on me, but I am not exactly sure of all the details of those tests. I know they took 20 vials of blood, though. I know I did not offer much information, but I just wanted to offer my support. I hope you get some answers soon and that it is an easy fix.

They can do the recurrent m/c panel. Usually you have to have 3 losses for them to do it but some doctors will do it sooner. They can check for a clotting disorder, check for chromosomal issues, low/high hormone levels. There are so many things that it truly depends on your doctor which tests they run. I hope that you can get some answers soon.

Sorry you are going throug this again.
I had a a miscarriage then my DD then went onto have 3 more miscarriage and found I have MTHFR clotting disorder so just because you did have children before does not rule that completely out.
Someone on the loss board told me that very early losses (before 5-6 weeks) not related to the clotting disorder but not sure how true that is.
Could really be anything causing it. I hope your dr will do testing.

^^I don't really understand why this is the case... seems like they could save us lots of time and grief if they'd do the bloodwork after just one loss...

Heather, I'm so sorry that you're back and going through this again, especially so soon. I hope that you can get some answers so you get a BFP with a sticky bean!! Hugs...

thanks ladies. my doctor said she suggested i do the work up even with two losses. I just didn't really know what that entailed. I think I may do it to see if there is anything that could be fixed. there may not be...and i may not get any answers, but I think I would like to see if we can rule anything simple out, before we continue ttc. anyways...thank you again for all your support and responses.

Oh, and after talking with the dr. I guess we may be able to be referred to the military hospital for the work up, so I won't have to pay anything out of pocket for it....that is good at least!

I wish things didnt turn out this way for you but I am glad that your body did what it needed to do and didn't drag it out over weeks upon weeks.

Definitely recommend getting the blood clotting panels done. That's how I found out I had 3 clotting disorders.

*hugs* KUP

awww, thank you so much. I am glad it didn't take longer too, because I actually think knowing...is worse. But, I am gonna be ok. I have 2 beautiful daughters already and my husband is the best step-dad ever. He told me that no matter what.....they are his daughters and he is fulfilled, even if we can't have any together...sniff, sniff... so, that made me feel really happy and ok with everything no matter what.
