OMG Lindsey that totally sucks that she called you and said you must have just misunderstood her.

I would definitely be reporting her to your state medical board. Here is the link for TX:
Complaint Information. As for suing, I would probably only do it if I was going to have ongoing medical expenses related to complications from the IVF... it is really expensive to go the legal route, and if you lose, you could end up in even more debt than you are currently in. I WOULD write down everything you remember from your conversations, and date it. Any future phone calls with her should be recorded. I'm so sorry you're going through this. What a nightmare.

Ditto this! I think it's completely ridiculous that she admitted fault and then went back and said that she never said that. ((HUGS)) You have EVERY right to be angry. Do you have a Better Business Bureau there? If so file a complaint with them! They usually get farther with resolving things than you will.

OMG Lindsey, I was gritting my teeth and had my fists clenched reading this. How absolutely underhanded and outrageous!!! I am furious for you so I can only imagine how mad you are! I agree that I would file formal complaints to the medical board and the BBB...and I would even complain to the Dept of Consumer Affairs (and any other place you might be able to find). This is utterly ridiculous and you have every right to be livid!

 I am so sorry. I want to rip this woman's face off for you! I can't even imagine how angry, hurt, and a million other emotions you are!  I would report her to every medical and state agency you can find just so everyone knows and she can't do this to anyone else. I'm so sorry she did this to you.

I'm always leery now of any doctor who jumps immediately to UVF as 'your only chance'. I would definitely report her and the practice. I don't know if suing would be productive only because the legal costs may out weigh any actual settlement. But I'd do some research and see if there are any practices that specialize in fertility cases, She's not the first RE I've heard of pushing expensive treatments.

Ditto to the other ladies. I would also go online to any message boards in your area on which you can provide references on doctors and just blast her and the practice. If you find the right ones and make enough noise at the very least you can reduce her business going forward.

Lindsey, that is really shady of the doctor. To admit in your face that she was wrong and then later say that she was not and that the information given was misunderstood. Really shady. Good that you reported the doctor and possibly the doctor's office too.

Ugh this makes ME sick to read so I can only imagine how you and your husband feel. What a *****! I had a feeling she was going to go back on what she said...and of course there is no way to "prove" it cause its her word against yours. This is so ****** up!!!!
I am so glad you are reporting them. I wonder if anyone else has had that problem??

Lindsey that makes me sick to my stomach. I am so sorry that your doctor was such a con artist. Sounds to me like she just wanted your money and didn't really care about you. I am so sorry that you have had to go through this. Glad you are reporting her.

I am so sorry that that happened! I guarantee you, once they met with the "board" they told her to call you and say she didn't say that, they probably saw a lawsuit or money out of hte window, realizing that you were a person of action and weren't going to sit back and take it! Good for you for reporting it, I can't believe how awful people can be, especially with a person that is going through so much to fulfill a dream, it makes me sick! I hope you get some sort of closure with this!
