I am currently on CD22 of my m/c cycle. Baby stopped dev. at 5 1/2 weeks, I m/c at 8 1/2 weeks. I am still getting positive pregnancy tests, although today's is finally very light. I am charting temp., etc......and my temps. show that I ovulated 5 days ago! I did have other O symptoms, too.....I know things are very wacky with m/c cycles....but my thermal shift sure seems real and my temps are staying up....also my cm did go to creamy and my cervix closed up. All the signs showed that I O'd.

Problem: my pregnancy tests were still (and are) positive. Everything I have read says you CAN ovulate with hcg still in your system, as long as it's dropping and it's very low (like 5-10) Mine had to be way more than that. I've been testing every couple of days and the test on the day I supposedly ovulated looked like my 13 dpo test from my bfp. My hcg had to be at least 40 when I O'd....if I did.

Has anyone heard of Oing with an hcg that high....or had it happen to them? My Dr. won't say it's impossible, but she's never seen it. Course, not everyone is a poas addict like me and tests out everything, so she's not likely to have had someone know.

Is this even possible?

Usually your body will not O unless your HCG is below 5 but some women have O'd before then. It truly depends on your body. Also sometimes it gears up to O and then for whatever reason it doesn't. It's hard to say after a loss you body can be very messed up hormonal wise.

That's what I thought, too. I guess we'll see if my temp. stays up and I get af in 10 days or so......

Just wondering if it's happened to anyone else.

I've Od with hcg in my system, and it was more than 5-10. HCG does NOT stop you from Oing. If that was the case, REs wouldn't give people HCG shots to actually trigger O. It's progesterone that stops you from ovulating during pregnancy, not the HCG.

Yes you can O. I know someone that had a molar pregnancy and had to get weekly blood draws to check her hcg level. She never reached negative. I am not exactly sure how low hers got, but she ended up pregnant and has a healthy baby girl now. I would say it is rare, but does happen.

You know, I thought about the hcg trigger shot. And it was weird b/c around the time I supposedly O'd, I had weird aches and cramps just like when I did injectables and triggered. I wonder if it was b/c I still had hcg in my system?

Anyway....my temp is still up today, and FF showing me 6 dpo....and my pregnancy test is still showing a very light positive, about like my 9 dpo bfp. Very strange.

My Dr. told me it's very unlikely, but also said it's not impossible. Weird.

Well, apparently, it's not impossible.....cause I just got af. Ten day LP......but it's real flow, so I'm saying it's real af. Had a big temp. drop to make it official. And.....my pg. tests are still a very light positive.....but they're getting there.

So I guess that shows that anything is possible.

I think its possible if your HCG is low. I swear I did after my ectopic when my levels was around 20ish.

Well, I don't know how low my hcg was.....not extremely. Because I have the pg. test from that day that I ovulated and it looks like my 13 dpo bfp test. It had to be at least 40. So anything can happen, I guess.
