My luteal phase was shorter than usual...just 2 days, but enough to make me concerned. I have heard a ton about vitamin B6 helping to lengthen it so I bought some today. My question is, do you take it throughout the entire cycle or just after ovulation?

I took it every day. It takes 30 days before it has any effect, from what I've read on here. I don't remember if it lengthened my luteal phase because I wasn't tracking it that well, but I ovulated 2 days earlier, regularly.

I take it the entire cycle.
It seemed to lengthen my luteal phase by two days (to 12 days) for a couple of cycles then started to shorten again, then I started taking B50 complex and that lengthened it again to 12 days. Now most of my cycles are 12-day cycles but I have the odd one that reverts back to 10.

Thanks ladies! I appreciate it! If it helps move my O date up, that'll be even better! It won't interfere with Clomid, though, will it?

You can take it all cycle long and it does not affect the Clomid I hope this helps bring you your BFP hun!

I took it with Clomid this past month. I got sick of taking the prenatals with all of the iron when I didn't need it, so I was taking B6, Folic Acid and Vitamin D. It sucked taking 3 pills, but better than all the junk I didn't need.

I have taken it for my entire cycle and for the last 2 weeks after O, and either way it helps lengthen my LP by 1 day. so I am still only at 11 days, but that is better than 10.

I take my prenatals, an extra B6 and and extra B12..............I have heard that B12 helps lengthen you LP too. I have been taking the B6 and B12 EVERYDAY since the end of May and it has helped lengthen my LP by 3 to 4 days. It does take at 30 days to get into your system to start helping....but it does work!

Also, for what it's worth, my luteal phase is only 11 days.

Great! Thanks for the input and advice ladies! Courtney, I hear you about taking all those pills. My pre-O pill arsenal is outrageous. One of the things I like about the 2ww is less pills!
