We are ok. Tree took out the power lines at 4:30 this morning before the storm really even hit us. Blessed to have a generator, so really not so bad.

There are over a million people without power right now. Luckily we still have power. It's getting really bad outside right now. We do not have a generator so I'm hoping we still have power in the AM. Stay safe hun!

We are good here. Has been a bit windy and rainy at times but don't see that it is doing much now.

We are good here... The storms are awesome here so far! We still have power - so far so good! I was outside earlier however now DH wants me to stay inside with the increased storm. Booooo....

I must have been a storm chaser in my previous life.

Wow - It really picked up out here. We have tornado watches out here in addition to the hurricane. I did not think this category 1 storm would be so strong.

We are doing good here. So far the wind hasn't picked up that much but we are getting a lot more rain then what they said.

It's in NJ now, so we're starting to get the outer edges of it.

They said 3 million people are without power, that's 10% of the country.

Also, the storm is the size of Arizona. Crazy.

It's raining here right now. The winds today shouldn't be too bad. It says the highest gust could be 49 but sustained won't be bad. Tonight the gusts could get worse, but still only 60. That's insane to think that 10% of the country is without power!

The storm took off more during the late hours of the night. I also found a leak beside a window that had a crack (probably caused by the quake).
We'll be fixing that today and hope it stays dry for a few days now.

We are so lucky here in northern Philly... Did not lose power or internet. We are staying indoors today as I guess there are a lot of downed trees out there.

The wind has started to pick up here. My BF & I will go check on his boat in a little while. The power has flickered a couple of times and I'm already in panic mode trying to figure out what I'll do if I lose TV & internet! Too bad I'm not close to ovulation....
I hope everyone else is still doing well and is safe!

Ya it hit us head on, 8ft high tide on top of sttorm surges... there were tornados which were about 7 miles away from us. Tore up a couple vacation houses in Sandbridge area. The roads out there are closed down.

Wind gusts were up to 85mph here, think the worst was 50-55mph that I saw outside. A few trees split here and the parking lot flooded...

Posted a little something up top. We got lucky this time lost powere off on, but it always came back on :-) that's a record for us we usually loose it first.

Hope everyone stayed safe! Havent been in here in a while but I still stalk yall. I remember going through Hurricane Ike back in 2008. We were without power for almost 2 weeks and it was absolutly horrible. I really hope that isnt the case for yall with no power.

We lost power from 3 until about 9 last night. At 3 we went out to check on my BF's lobster boat. The ocean was quite rough and I'm really glad he wasn't stupid enough to go out on the boat. At 10:30 last night we went back out to check and it was high tide. The boats were all fine, but the waves were huge and the boat yard where he keeps his boat was really close to being flooded. It wasn't in real danger though, because we got there at the peak of high tide and it was about to go back down. It was quite a sight to see.

I'm glad everyone is doing well!! Let's hope Mother Nature takes it easy on us from now on and that we have a nice, mild winter!

I tried to get on yesterday to update but as soon as I loggen on our power went out - lol! The wind and rain was awful, but the wind was not anywhere near what they thought - we didn't lose any trees near our house, some down around us, but not in our neighborhood. Our neighbors trash can went flying across his driveway, but that was the extent of anything that moved Our power went out yesterday at about 9 am and was back on by 12, I was so surprised, because it kept flickering like it was going to go off, but it never did, we got so lucky! I hope those that are in the flooded areas are doing well!
